Really GC? Really?

First; http://blue.mmo-champion.com/t/25969516 ... hts-80-81/

Secondly;
Aspects – We would like Aspect of the Fox to be as good as it can be, which we feel is 30%. Any higher than that and we lose the Steady Shot focus-generating gameplay. It seems that some hunters are, not surprisingly, somewhat turned off from doing less damage while moving as they are on live, but this is intended. A ranged class that can do almost as much damage moving as it can standing still is not going to be fair, and often is what restricts us from doing cool things with the class.
This, I'm sorry to say is bullshit. Why? Melee can do as much damage standing still and moving about. Caster ranged can do as much damage as IN YOUR FACE to standing still far away from you. Several can also instantly get you off them; snare, stun, fear, etc.

Why is it Hunter's are always gimped. We're treated like mages or we're treated like rogues. We're never treated like a class we should be, and we always get the short end of the stick.

I mean I'm not liking the look of things for PVP when you have to kite things; I saw a vid of a hunter in the new 'WSG' battleground of Cata, but he/she was never being chased, never forced to kite, and it's not always like that.

So basically, Focus is borked, and we have to use Aspect of the Fox 24/7.

Somehow, I like having a manabar over this borked crap as you know Blizz is going to take 3 years to fix it. Or just force us to press 1212121 or be a CC class with a pet and auto shot.

._.

lol.

If you're being focused, you're going to be kiting. Hunters still have a lot of options other than autoshot to use while kiting.

Hunters get physical RANGED attacks. There's very little other classes can do to stop us from a distance. Silences don't do much to us.

If you need aspect of the fox up constantly in PvP, yer doin' it wrong. >_>

Yeah but it all takes focus; focus regen seems to be pretty crappy at lower levels, and I doubt MM will be left with such a massive focus regen rate also. And we may have other abilities, but tbh it sounds like if you're forced to kite you're going to be micromanaging even moreso than normal.

Yeah but most other classes have a way to get around our ranged easily. God the last time I seriously pvp'd I was chain death gripped by five death knights.

Also disarming. Ever been disarmed in a BG? I learned the hard way people can disarm a ranged wep -and then disarm your melee weapons-.

I just hate how it's turning hunters into a you have to be a pro to PVP correctly, especially now with Focus, when before Wrath I was able to have enjoyment in PVPing even tho I wasn't the best, now with all the changes it feels if I'm not the best I will become the worst :/

Also, ranged physical attacks are still effected by armor values, while magic damage isn't. Of course ranged physical can go around reflect, but that isn't an issue that often.

I still don't know what I think about Aspect of the Fox.

Depends on how slowly focus regens. It doesn't seem THAT much slower than energy that we'll be in any more trouble than a rogue.

Yeah, I've had that happen to me. But that's bgs. You're GOING to get focused down by a completely unfair number of people. That's how it goes, and it goes for any class, not just hunters. That's when you pray your team doesn't have a bunch of idiots, so you'll get healed with your survival cds up while some of the other dps take out some of the guys beating on you.

Honestly? It's already like that. Hunters are deceptively easy on the surface. Anyone with a certain amount of PvE gear can sit in the back and open up on people, topping killing blows. It takes real skill as a hunter to be able to do more than that. Just find better places to snipe people from and you'll probably be fine. And if you get crushed every once in a while, well, it happens.

What you have to remember about hunter PvP is that 1v1, a hunter takes a lot more skill to play then pretty much any other class. This INCLUDES smart casters. But put a hunter in a large group in PvP, and watch them shine. The key to hunter PvP, as in BGing and overworld PvP, is to never, ever be alone. Hide in a group with other people, and focus fire on the most critical enemies: Healers, then casters, then other hunters. Circumvent this if an enemy is attacking your healers: Healers, then whatever is attacking your healers, then so on and so fourth.

I was chatting with a former guild mate last night, he's in the beta and has been playing his Hunter there. He loves it. He's always liked his Hunter but could never get used to the ammo and mana management, and now with both gone he's finding the class to be so much better and is considering making his Hunter his Cataclysm main over his current DK.
With regards to Focus, he said he's always got the Focus he needs for the shots he wants when he wants them, and this guy is a hard-core theorycrafter, tester and very critical and analytical with his characters.

Sounds encouraging to me, although I'm still thinking I'm going to be making my Restoration/Elemental Shaman my main.
