I am Halcyre, a level 80 Night Elf Hunter from Nordrassil(EU).
Ever since I saw Loque'nahak I got excited and wanted to tame this beautiful beast. Alas my days spent were full of other campers and people bragging about killing it. I eventually gave up looking and decided to get Achi's and quests.
I faction changed my first Hunter to horde and soon after, stopped playing that char. Last month I changed him back into a Night Elf, he was my first level 80 and I missed him.
After successfully hunting both Arcturis(Realm first tame ^^) and Gondria, then being lucky enough to run into and Tame Aotona. I decided I was going to go after Skoll, so camped out the Peaks and logged in every so often and busied myself with alts. He never even once popped up dead or alive.
Last week I had an inkling to go back to Scholazar, and stalk Lorque's spawn points. I found him alright, he had been killed not moments before, I was in despair..I had never seen him at all and the first time he's been killed by achi hunters. I gave up then in a sense, but continued to log in and out every day at random times just to see my luck.
I logged in tonight and flew around the points once, and as I passed each one I felt even more deflated and decided to land back in my normal spot by the Waterfall and logout. As I was passing the wasps my npcscan blinked off, I was half asleep ready to go to bed after an 9 hour shift in work today. I clicked on it, expecting another corpse when I saw him, moving in the distance. I turned my Red DRake around quickly and flew towards him at speed, I hoped I was first to tag..if I couldn't tame him.I'd kill him(Horrible but there are people out there that kill whilst you tame, why give them the satisfaction?) I landed and instantly attacked him. Then quickly lay a freezing trap (Thank my preperation! all my pet taming bars were ready and close on hand).
I was shaking, and thinking..it was all a dream and someone will come down and take it away. I watched the counter which seemed an eternity, I thought I was going to pass out irl! But alas he was tamed, and I finally have my Loque'Nahak!
Now I only need a name for it ^^
My Gondria is called Evrae
Aotona is called Music
Arcturis is called Matoskah
All that's left is Skoll! Wish me luck.
