Slightly off-topic yet not. As a guy I look at the two male leads and for the life of me can't see what has women changing panties about them. I mean seriously... Edward is this anemic-looking guy who desperately needs a couple sandwitches and Jacob... c'mon, he looks like the spawn of Lou Ferrigno. In hulk make-up! I understand the Edward thing, he's a vampire, he's supposed to be pale, yadda yadda...but that doesn't explain why women look at him or the other guy and drool. Can someone please explain this?

Total derail: back when the internet was new, I was on this crazy, newfangled thing called mIRC... Splendid new playground and all that, yes? Anyway, I met this guy that was awesomely metal and emo and underground and just plain fantastic! Of course he resided somewhere in the central US, on the other side of the world, but we really "connected"... He sent me pictures and recordings of his awesomely metal and emo and underground band and all kinds of awesome stuff. It was a great, rebellious fling while it lasted.

Third, not to get back to the argument between Karathyriel and Ryai, but I think there's a difference between 'inspired by' and 'blatantly rewrote.' I mean, I have no problems with things being inspired by other things, that's the way the world works. In this day and age, nothing is really unique, it's almost guaranteed that any idea you come up with has been written before. But I was ready to hunt Meyer down and put a stake through HER for being a horrible monstrosity when her ONLY reason for using the Quileute tribe was "because they live near where my characters are." Srsly? That? That's not a reason, that's plain old uneducated stupidity X_X If you're gonna make stuff up, just make up a whole new tribe!

Fourth, totally agree, Veph. Pattinson just...doesn't do it for me. Plus, I've read interviews of his before, and he sounds so ridiculously stupid I would not be surprised if he IS on drugs.

When I think of Vampires, I think of something like those of the "Vampire Plague" books, younger teen books, yet still very fun to read, and not based out of Europe, but rather Ancient Aztec culture. And When I think of Zombies... Nazi Zombies... 0.o

Also, one of my friends from my school who likes the series (For the life of me I can't see why) explained it to me like this. They read the books and saw the movies. They said 'Bookwise, Edward, Moviewise Jacob.' The only reason I can think of them saying this is Edward must have meant to be some caring, kind, and loving person towards Bella in the books, instead of the creepy stalking blood-drinker he is in the movie. While Jacob is a huge ripped wolf man in the movies. Ala, it's two conflicting desires, someone who actually means something and loves them, and someone who is hot from head to toe.

Either way, I strongly dislike the movies, mainly due to very poor acting and a dislike of the books.

Also, I thought Cedric was extremely cool in Harry potter, the books and in the fourth movie.
