The reason why I hate achievements... (picture heavy)

I was out on my rogue mining in the basin and I come across Loque, I've never tamed him but I was in enraptured by his majesty. So my first instinct was to call out to the hunters in the area and I did:



For some reason he asked me to tag it, I figured he wanted me to vanish when it was time to tame, so I did what he asked. He arrived, I vanished, I had butterflies in my stomach, and then my heart sank...



I was hurt and confused, so I asked him:



He paid me for finding it but I felt so guilty afterwards:



Blizz needs to take those achievements out... Seriously. In the future I should probly ask if they want to tame him or not, but I might be too scared to say anything to anyone now when I find rares...

that was sweet of you to ask the hunters. i know how that is i found loque and just ask in gen if there were any bm hunters around. noone answerd and i didnt want to see him get killed luckly there was someone in guild who got on their 80 and tamed him

I've ran across Loque twice on my DK...the first time there wasn't a single hunter in sight...I kept him alive for a while, but tagged him so no one would be likely to kill him, but in the end I killed him cause I was about to die.

The second time I found Loque, I got smart and threw on my tank armor this time (but stayed blood spec) and tagged him. Now he wasn't hurting me any worse than what my rune tap could heal, so I could've stood there for a long time. Once again tho, NO hunters...I was like "Holy crap, this is a first!" I ended up looking in Icecrown and found a lvl 79 hunter, asking them if they wanted Loque. Sadly, the person was still new to WoW and didn't really know who or what Loque is. So I gave them a quick description, and they flew over. After a few lessons (cause she died a couple of times during the tame, she wasn't sure how to do the freezing trap tame, heh), but I had patience (and taunting thankfully) so in the end we finally managed to get Loque tamed for her. She ended up really liking Loque alot and asked me to name him lol. So she's the proud owner of her first rare spirit beast named Lunaris. I partly picked that name cause my own Loque is called Solaris, so it's kind of a match. A few days later when I log on, she whispers me and thanks me again for helping her out, cause she fell in love with the cat.

You think this is the first time someone's killed a spirit beast for the achievement? Ultimately, so what? They all respawn, it's a chance everyone has to take, he's there for all players not just hunters. Sorry if I come across cold as well, but seriously, it really is not that big a deal guys.

Even if thats the case you dont LIE to get the achievement you need, thats decieving someone and thats wrong no matter who you are. Remember it was a hunter who killed it when someone was asking if someone wanted to tame it. He thought he was helping someone tame a pet they wanted and you say it isnt a big deal. Maybe its not if someone finds it and kills it on their own but to lie so you can get an achievement and trick someone into helping you do it? Yeah thats a big deal rare hunter or not.

thats really cool i bet that hunter was just like omg! that was really sweet of u maximum i bet that hunter was just so happy. how i see it, if no hunter are around and you kill it fine, whatever but like nevar said dont lie about it thats just wrong.

I'm not saying it was ok for the guy to lie, he could have just as easily been honest about his intentions. But I don't think the lie was so aweful to warrant people getting up in arms about it Had someone been camping the beast for hours on end and was half way through a tame when someone swooped in and killed it, then sure, that's cause enough for a rant.

Yes a second hunter showed up asking afterwards, but he wasn't quick enough. No, that doesn't make the lie ok either, but its still a case of first in wins. The game is overflowing with people who lie, and yes it is wrong, but I just don't see the point in getting worked up over it. It's just gonna happen again. I've seen this sort of thing happen before, and sure it blows, but hey, gotta move on

You know i have asked many Bm hunters if they want to tame a rare(i'd just kill it if noone said they wanted too) And they have lied to me and just killed it. Heck One time i found Krush and asked a BM hunter if he wanted it and he killed it with his own krush >.>

I thought it was kinda funny, cause he was whacking on me for like a half hour or so lol. I had an undead mage show up while I had Loque tagged, after a moment, he cheered me on then flew away. Logged on my Horde char afterwards to thank him, he said he had an idea of what I was doing and helps hunters too.

You think that's bad, my realm back when Loque was the only SB we had people who would find it, tank and hold it, then demand 5-10-20k to not kill it so a hunter could tame it.

Tell that to the people that camped him for days maby even weeks to get him

I hated the achi also, but in one way I like it..Don't explode. But it does make the pet a lot rarer so when people see you with him, they go "omg you camped him? that takes some patience!" Which it took me near enough 2 years to tame my own! And in that time I had only seen 3 other hunters with him.

If I ever encounter him again, I'll ask if anyone else wants to tame and then help them. I would be hard pressed to kill Loque even for an achi.
