When I was flying around silverpine forest to see if the humans still there in Ambermill, I saw this new elementals.



My first thought was...omg now is the rare spawn with the black tabby gone.
So I dont know if they moved the humans to some other place.
But if you still need the black tabby, I would say start grinding.

Throwing in my lot to say...

Red and blue whelps are also gone. Blacks have taken over the red whelp spawns, and the blues have been overrun by goblins. None in sight.

The spot where the green whelps spawn in the Swamp of Sorrows is currently depopulated, so they too go on the missing list for now.

tbh I really doubt Blizz is going to retire pets completely. There's still hostile green dragons, and it's possible a red whelpling could drop from black drakes- or some other dungeon. Yada yada.

I'm not gonna get all frantic until I hear official word.

I've personally only had luck with the rare dropping the cat. Your results may vary!

(But yeah, that's why it's still sad, at least to me.)

I had luck in the crater mobs also... would mass kill them between checking back for the rare spawn. When I did kill the rare spawn a couple times it never dropped the tabby. :p
