Now den. Work sucks.. we all know dis. No matta what ya be workin at or on dere is problems, all jobs have em. Ya get dirty, ya hurt yaself, and some days jus nuttin goes right. But nuttin messes up ya day like utta people. Dere be NO situation dat someone can't make worse.

So in honor of dis I propose a game dat I be callin "What Dey Said, What I said, What I should have said" Dis is how ya play...

Write down here what dey said to you, write down what you said to dem, den write down what you WOULD have said if ya wern't worried about being fired.

let me give ya two example from my and Shaons experience

What Customer Said: Excuse me, Do you engrave here (to me, as I was standing over the engraving machine working on a item)
What I said: Certainly
What I Should Have Said: "No, This is a bakery... would you like a muffin?"

Shaons

What Customer Said: "What does tuo mean?" Pointing to glass exit door
What Shaon Said: "Erm... that's Out when viewed from the other side"
What She Should Have Said: "That's out when viewed from the other side.....Idiot"

...yeah, I got fired. And couldn't find another job, lost my house, had to give up my rl pets... Sometimes what you DID say is actually better. Then again, I -was- parked there since four am...


PS: Redith--if that guy had ANY wit, he'd have said what came to my mind: "I'm into men. ...That uniform looks really good on you, by the way."

These are fun. I worked in a haunted mine for a year or so. Not a real mine, but I'm pretty good at convincing people.

Im standing in SW, on that fountain by the bank, and a pally runs up.
What they said: (in a whisper) Is that Krush?
What I said: Yep.
What I should of said: No, its the other Green Devilsaur.
A warrior did the same thing not 1 minute later, with the same reply from me.

I think the best customer comment I EVER had was this...

I worked at an electronics shop. A woman came in looking a bit clueless. I'd describe her appearance but it'd make me sound like the kind of person who judges people at first glance...

Anyway, she held out a camcorder to me. She played back the video; it was sideways by ninety degrees. She then held the camera on its side, demonstrating, and said this...

"How come when I hold the camera like this, the video comes out sideways??"

I caught a shoplifter....she was 15 or 16, so we had to call her parents....

What she said: I'd really rather you not call my mom.

What I said: I'd really rather people not steal from my store. Looks like neither of us is getting what we want, huh
