Tortolla, a new turtle look

There's a new character introduced in Hyjal named Tortolla. He's got a unique, rugged appearance, and on top of that, is known to have children. My guess is, we'll see a scaled-down, recolored version of this guy waddling around somewhere! It's too nice to waste.

Also on turtles and new skins, there's a creature planned for Cataclysm named Volcanoth. Currently, his model is a red turtle placeholder, but perhaps he'll get upgraded to a big smoke-belching beast. He's got children too (Child of Volcanoth), so perhaps we'll see some flaming turtles in the future.

There is concept art of a volcano turtle, and several giant turtles chained up in a volcanic area that are probably using the default model until it's finished.

Currently it's a no on the children of either of them. They are very specific quest spawn's. Actually, I haven't even seen any of Volcanoths kids.

Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if we did find some turtle skins like those in a later build. I'll keep my eyes open.

Aww darn, I was hoping they might be tamable. In any case, though, there's going to be a lot of content involving bodies of water, fiery areas, and the elemental planes, perfect for working both types of new turtle in.

Oh! I am not really that fond of the turtles/tortoises, but I really like Tortolla! I hope he (or one that looks like him) becomes tameable.

Tortolla won't be tameable any time soon. He is a very powerful ancient and is important to quest line's in Hyjal. His children always spawn friendly, and are either pets to the player or are very brief, friendly NPC's.

But yes, I do want this skin and am keeping an eye out for it.
