Is the skin still hellboar with this beta patch?

I just tamed Haarka, and I have Soriid and Grunter on the same hunter. I was about to try a Copy Character and the World server went down...

If it comes up pretty quickly I can test it tonight, if not it'll be tomorrow.

Yeah. Confirmation.

Grunter goes from a black boar to a helboar (still) when copied over.
Soriid goes from normal Soriid on live to giant red flea when copied over.
Haarka goes from normal Haarka on live to giant blue flea when copied over.

I have already posted some Soriid shots, and everyone knows what a red helboar looks like... but... I haven't seen an actual tamed shot of Haarku yet...

Numbers are the order the texture files are listed in. They don't mean anything, just used for reference.

Yeah but I mean, Soriid currently is the purple color, Haarka is the blue. The changed Haarka is the blue tank skin but the changed Soriid is that weird red skin and not the purple. Bit odd, thats all.

The really interesting thing is that the remaining rares sync up colorwise with the two unused skins (red and yellow). Here's hoping!

I'd say there is no chance unless they want them to be tamed now. The video with him in it just went up on mmochampion. I'd try it,but I'm still far too bitter from the loss of my worgen. I don't wanna go through another disaster like that again.

No, leave it alone.. Blizz for sure knows, but if it becomes a huge deal, they will either #1 change the NPC, taking them all away, or #2 make Soriid and Haarka untameable on live.

Even if it makes it to the Cataclysm launch if they don't want us to be able to keep them they can easily remove them like they did with Garwal.
Also I remember in classic, the snakes from Zul'Gurub were tamable for a short time, later blizzard made all current tamed snakes unable to be fed thus they would eventually run away.

This seems like one of those mob they wouldn't let us keep anyway.

You know, call me crazy, but I think I may not keep Soriid. The more I look at the new models, the less I like them. I actually prefer the current silithid model more, regardless of whether the flea becomes the new ghost wolf or not. Why keep a pet if I don't really like it? I'd take Surge (my old yellow silithid) over one of those big things any day.
