Blue scorpid suggestion post on beta

There's still no sign of any new blue scorpid models on the beta (at least not on Wowhead), so I put up this suggestion / feedback post on the beta forums. If anyone who reads this would be kind enough to post in support or put in their own idea of where blue scorpids would fit, maybe it'd get more attention. Thanks

I don't see Blizzard adding a mob back into the game if they have already decided to make it extinct... if it is indeed nowhere in the game.

Sorry, didn't see your post back then. But then I was new to beta at the time.

I wouldn't say they've "decided to make them extinct", as much as wanted that space for something else. Blizzard seems to have gone out of their way to add some previously impossible-to-get skins in this expansion. Calling attention to the fact that these were the only blue scorpids in the game (something the creator of the Barrens war zone may not have even realized or cared about) is worth a shot.

Look guys I know you like others are antsy over the blue scorpid- but everyone here, in thread and petopia in general should remember how long it took for Clutchmother's skin to resurface, and where it was- and afaik there are still zones off limits/in the works, this is still early beta and the scorpid could have been turned into a rare mob no one has run across yet.

As of yet it's less Retired and more Has yet to be re-implimented or found.

That's is a good point. Who knows what will appear in the next couple of months? I don't think it hurts to call attention to the missing skin, though. It draws attention to skins that might be good for populating areas that don't look like "just another <x> like they have over in zone <y>".

I'd be surprised if there was a rare spawn already existing with this skin, however, as I think Wowhead would have picked it up during datamining.

What I find funny is Blizzard has already given the blue scorpid's name (Silithid Swarmer, I think) to a totally different color of spider silithid.

I just read about it here somewhere, but I can't remember which post it was considering how many there have been recently about silithids... it even has a screen shot of the new named mob.

btw... same name, not the same ID. If you have a blue/turquoise scorpid on live it is still the same color in the beta.

we will keep looking for the blue scorpid, maybe we will find him in a hidden cave or something
