Wild pets for leveling
I read in an older hunter guide that you must continually tame and release higher level beast to level your own pet. They recomended always keeping a stable slot open for this purpose. Is this still the case?

It never was the case. You used to have to learn higher level skills from higher level pets and then teach them to your regular pet but that is no longer the case either.Falconer wrote:I read in an older hunter guide that you must continually tame and release higher level beast to level your own pet. Thanks. I thought as much. My pets have been leveling fine without, but I thought I'd check anyway.

Yeah, sounds really dated. No need to tame anything that you don't absolutely love anymore.
