So in the Worgen story thread, some of us feel like the Worgen should have been with the Horde and not the Alliance as they are more monsterish.

Now, this thread is NOT a place to argue the validity of which faction should have the Worgen, so please don't get into that.

Let's say the Worgen were put into the Horde instead of the Goblins. What could the Alliance have been given instead that isn't so monsterish and more traditionally/stereotypical Alliance friendly? And since this is hypothetical, don't fee limited to the notion that it should be there already/seeded etc. Make one up if you like.

I'd nominate a two legged Keeper of the Grove/Cenarius Children type of race as a primary, but I've always liked the idea of perhaps a race inspired by African/Zulu themes

Furbolgs fit lorewise tho a bit, alliance have a quest to actually befriend/ally/help them, even if just on Azuremyst but..

Halflings would work too, half orcs, half elves, half etc, maybe not half orcs but half elves/nelves/etc. But not High Elves- most High Elves I see are Belves with blue eyes and oh god that would get so confusing in pvp and pve and just blarg.

Is confusing enough atm with Tauren and Nelf droods sharing the same Tree form atm.

I don't think the Alliance will ever get High Elves as a playable race, because we Hordies have the Blood Elves. Imagine how confusing it would be on the battlegrounds:

High Elf: Wtf! Quit frostbolting me, stupid!
Human: Sorry! You elves all look alike!

I'm personally glad with the Cataclysm races -- I always wanted to play a materialistic little green capitalist! But for future expansions, here's my suggestions:

Horde: Naga. I know, the tail would be a problem, but hey, it works lorewise (with Vashj's group helping out Kael's forces in WCIII), besides, it would be fun to see their side of things finally.

Alliance: Who cares! Kidding. Maybe Arakkoa, since the only "good" ones in Outland seem to be those who have joined the Draenei's belief in the Light. Or how about a little cross-game action and have the Protoss join?

But seriously, I'm so glad my warlock got a felhunter pet because it looks like a zergling, same with the Sithids. Once we get the option for 25 Hunter pets I just might get one of each colour!

I'm still hoping SCII: Heart of the Swarm will have a baby Hydralisk or something for a CE small pet.
