Those are the DKs doing the final part of their newbie chain. They basically carry a letter to Thrall or Varian and ask to join the Horde / Alliance. Before that, the guards think they are Scourge there to slaughter them.

More likely that his PvP flag bugged them to think he was attacking someone, like the goblins in BB.

No because the goblins won't attacked flagged players- I've zoomed several alts thru BB during the fire festival event and even after putting out ally/horde fires they ignored me.

The glitch tho I think is tied to the fact you're a DK. I saw this happen well before some of the DK nerfs, when they were still a tad OP. A belf dk had killed a gnome rogue or DK, forget which, that was trying to gank Thrallmar npcs.

The Thrallmar guards then went apeshit and killed the belf DK, and then killed him again when he rezzed. The same thing happened in CE, two Deathknights were dueling, both pvp flagged but just dueling and I note both were hordies. Then all of a sudden CE guards spawned and started trying to attack -both- deathknights, who had to quickly flee across the lake using Path of Frost.

I do recall guards suddenly attacking me... I think it might be tied to the whole "scourge affiliation" that you get rid of in your final DK-quests, like you said, Ryai.

Well meant it more in my opinion it's not tied to being flagged alone, but a flagged Death Knight.

I think it's quite funny when the goblins in any of the four goblin towns will attack players that attempt to attack a flagged player. For those that do kill flagged players for the first time, they would be in for a huge surprise. You wouldn't believe how many times I've seen that happen in Gadget. Yet, one time, a 70 horde figured out how to be able to kill the goblin guards by going inside that fenced arena and getting them one by one. This event was before LK so the guards were between level 65 and 70 at the time.
