Ghostly Ghostpaw Alphas

Had a poster by the name of Dirkenstein on the beta forums mention that the Ghostpaw Alpha wolves in Ashenvale would transform into the Grimtotem Spirit Guide skin when at low health. Obviously, they're tameable, but alas, they turn back to a ordinary wolf when tamed, and don't transform at low health as a pet.

Not terribly exciting new to find we can't get a new skin, but given we're still due for a proper pet design pass, who knows what they'll do?

There's a thread somewhere here, but I know one of our members made that discovery when beta first came out. Sadly they tried many different attempts to keep the Ghost wolf as a pet, but none have worked so far.

Interesting to keep an eye on though!

Ah, so not so new news after all. I did search for ghostpaw to see if there was a thread already, but mustn't have been thorough enough.

I don't want to brag or anything, but I was the one who started a thread on this already.

Also note that the Ashmane Boars in Blasted Lands have a similiar move where they change into Felboars when they start getting killed. (I know that there is a newer thread about this too, but I, along with some others, noticed it awhile back.

On a completely related note.... I want the OP (and everyone else) to keep a lookout for anything they think the hunter community needs to know about and don't be shy to start a new thread about it... even if we have read about it before it doesn't mean it is old news to everyone.

*nods* It's not a crime to post information that you weren't aware was already here. ^^ This is an active forum with all the Cataclysm news coming out, so it's easy to miss stuff.
