Yeah timing really helped. I got it on my alli hunter but still working on the timing with horde hunter. At least I got it on one of my hunters. Will play around with my horde in a bit LoL

hehe with my hunter i just camped iggy for one hour for an ally to show up . did /wait on them and logged on my lvl 1 ally to ask thjem a small favor. I love my new wolf Silhouette.

This is so awesome!!! I just hope Blizz doesn't say, "Oh geez, another 'exploit', time to hotfix!" and take it away. It's similar in strategy to the ghost wolf that's been removed for unknown reasons, which worries me.

Hopefully the hubby can get his tonight. With this guide, it should be just a matter of figuring out at what point to start the tame. I have no idea how much haste he has. But at least we know it's 6-7 seconds!

He's excited about it, which is kind if unusual because he typically doesn't get into special tames like this. So I look forward to helping him get it.

OH! I've been standing too close. When the trap breaks and if you're right next to him you wont have enough time. I'll have to back away some more since I believe the wolf "needs to complete "running up to you" ~ which would give me the additional 2-3 seconds I am missing!

OMG just got him. after some trial and error i got him!! he despawned just after the tame ended and still worked. i was like Aww another nothrend wolf. i click call pet to summon him for his quick abondonment when OMGOMGOMG its him!!! He was aggressive as everyone says. he is a forever part of my stable(unless hes fixed, DONT DO THAT TO US BLIZZ PLZ) end over excitedness.

Oh... but now the question is. have him with me while questing and doing dungeons or keep him hidden so no hotfix. im worried if i keep him out ppl will ask questions and possibly report to blizz about it

Wow, this is really cool. I have never seen one of these tamed on my server. I am going to try it out!

Unfortunately the horde:alliance ration on Area 52 is about 4:1. And so far the only responses I have gotten to my inquiries on my level one alliance alt have been... less than helpful even though all I basically said was "Looking for someone who hasn't completed the Lupus Pupus quest yet, please help."

If anyone has a toon on Area 52, or knows someone who does, I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Strangely enough I only got one compliment on my wolf. I think for non-hunters who really do not know, it's just another tamed beast to them. So no reason to report it. It's other hunters that will be the cause for concern because they cannot get one after hundreds of attempts possibly.

That's part of the reason I grinded away at doing quests before and after so as not to look suspicious.

I honestly don't think Blizz will care to much, or at least I'm seriously hoping not, as long as it's not thousands of hunters all at once going out and taming them. I'm not saying we keep it a secret ............... but it shouldn't be put out there in my opinion. Maybe I'm wrong to think that way but I'm not willing to risk losing it.

It's should be a petopian only pet. Yah know ............... like the companion pets for buying a authenticator or something. Kidding. Maybe. But probably not.

I'm curious if there isn't a similar way to do this without the quest? Like maybe having tame beast go off just as he dies?
Do the mechanics of taming work similar in this event, or will he still just be a regular wolf if you do manage to tame him just as he dies?

you need to be on the quest, otherwise he will just turn into a grey wolf

yeah before i got mine and befroe we knew you had to be on the quest i tried a whole bunch of different ways and it didnt work
