Anyway back on topic. I saw this on the news today. I'm a little stunned somebody would do that; I thought it was going to be a joke thing too, but noooo, this was no joke.
The news reporter said that she was quoted as "just thinking it would be funny." Apparently the woman thinks it's a joke. Ugh. >_<

15 HOURS! 15 FUCKING HOURS that poor cat was in there. Do you know how hot it gets in a bin like that on a warm day????? Yes I know it's cool there but in direct sun those bins heat up quick!

I am just relieved that the owners found their cat in time before it succumbed to the heat or before the trash truck came by! And to think, this woman thought it'd be funny to throw the cat in the trash! FUNNY!? This woman deserves to be taken out in the middle of the Saharan Desert and left there to find her own way out -- it'd be funny to see if she could survive.
