I was wondering if it'd look more natural if you connected what would be a standstill to one of the standing animations instead of adding a still frame.
edit: Does that make sense? Sense is hard to achieve nowdays.

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
Karathyriel,
I'd like to request an animated signature. Sochi at a walk with her lynx at her side would be just fine.
Armory link; http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... y&cn=Sochi
Petopia link for pet; http://www.wow-petopia.com/html/skins/s ... inred.html
I would appreciate the signature very much. Thank you very much in advance

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
So do you use your photoshop to group your images together or can you do that in WoWMV

Oh that surely would make sense but I'm not sure about the outcome of it. You know that we are restricted in file size and image size for signatures. I'll try and then we see what happens...Chrizesu wrote:I was wondering if it'd look more natural if you connected what would be a standstill to one of the standing animations instead of adding a still frame.

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
No, MV can't do that. You need to do it in some graphics program as you have to do some resizing and maybe cut down on color and what not...Thornberry wrote:So do you use your photoshop to group your images together or can you do that in WoWMV
Sorry, you have to ask Adobe. I have no clue about newer versions nor am I the technical hotline. And I don't use photoshop. Image Ready is what makes the world (read: GIFs) go round!Thornberry wrote:Im having a problem with my photoshop.

@ Thornberry:
If you quote someone who has a quote in his post, don't delete the multiple "quote" commands.
@ Chrisezu:
You probably don't know but to make to animations be in the exact same place so you won't notice them to be two instead of one is tough work. I almost gave up!

@ Sochi:
There ya go, hope you like it.

Sorry about the missing tabard but MV sometimes has this bug where the guild tabard is displayed in grey and can't be altered. I haven't found out so far when this happens but I saw in the forums that the developers are aware of that bug and will try fixing it.

Oh I know. I've done animation before, I just don't have the right tools for this stuff.Karathyriel wrote:@ Chrisezu:

That sig is perfect! Thank you very much!
And no worries about the missing tabard. I am a proud Petopian, with or without it.

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
I was wondering if you could do a little animated sig for me... although this one might be a bit different
If possible, could Rottingham http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... Rottingham running with his spider http://www.wow-petopia.com/html/skins/s ... _grey.html and then have my DK Wight runnign on the other side of the sig towards Rottingham http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n&cn=Wight with a random ghoul (you can choose any, doesn't matter to me) running next to him? sorta like they;re runnig ant eachother?
I know that's a lot to ask and if its too hard, then just have Rottingham running with his spider. Thanks
Rottingham, in the guild Petopians even though that this Rottingham is on a different server

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
Do you mean your hunter and pet stationary but showing the running animation on the left and DK and ghoul, also stationary but showing runnning animation on the right?
Like if they ran on the spot?

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
It might take a while since I am right now having technical problems.
Whenever I import a character, the animations are gone.
I'll try to find a way around this or fix it.
Edit: Sometimes, you are dumb. Just plain stupid. Really, really stupid.
Anyway... Work in progress!

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
So, this is what I concocted up in my graphics kitchen...

Hope you like it.
Sorry about the grainy look but with 4 animations, you have to go down in color or quality. We still have the file restriction, which I think is a good thing.

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
Every time I start messing with the model viewer, I get frustrated with something or other and stop, so I'll just stop being in denial and ask an expert for help! xD Especially now that I have a rough design...
This is mildly complicated and I apologize in advance. -_- I'd like to have my three Kallis (Kalliope, Kalli, and Kallimon - in that order) standing in a row facing forward as a base. I'd also like to have each of them break into their own animation at some point...but not at the same time. I hope that's doable. >_<
So let's look at this as a possible scenario: nothing happens for a while, then Kalli salutes. She goes back to the starting position and nothing happens. Then Kallimon does a couple of seconds of the troll dance (sidestep, sidestep, handstand). Then nothing again....then Kalliope laughs as a green devilsaur runs across the frame in front of all three. And that's the cycle! (Ideally, I'd like to have a "double cycle," where a black bear runs across the first go around, and a green devilasur runs across the second, but I'm assuming that it'll already be too big as it is.)
Armories for all three: Kalliope, Kalli, Kallimon
I'd like Kalliope to be dressed in the Furious Gladiator Chainmail set (no helm, no cloak) with the Sporeggar tabard.
Kalli should be wearing the Gladiator Chain set (also no helm, no cloak) with her guild tabard (or the Ebon Blade tabard, whichever is easier/looks better).
Kallimon can wear the Windrunner set (no helm, no cloak) with the Petopians tabard. Visible Offpieces: Bracers of the Northern Stalker, Waistguard of Deathly Dominion, Warsong Poacher's Greaves.
Kalliope's had or obtained the equivalent of all of this gear, so I feel entitled to playing dressup with the others. xD
I hope I haven't forgotten anything. >_< Thank you in advance!

Re: animated gifs - Ask me here!
Nope, I'll never squeeze that into 300 KB!
When I use stops in my pics, everything stops. I just use that one frame and have it displayed for x seconds. This isn't generating any data, But if I hold one animation while another is playing at the same tame, I have to add the still to every frame of the animation.
Take my signature. It basically is walking in, standing, walking out. When the elf is not in the picture or standing still, I just pause the whole GIF. If the cat was moving, I would have to add more frames instead of displaxing that one frame for a very long time.
I hope you get my meaning.
Did you see my "gnome punting" animation? That was about 1.5 MB.
Sorry, but for a signature you have to keep it simple.
