Dilemma

Unread post by Quicksilver »

So, I come to you, the hunters of the forum to hopefully help me solve my problem! I've been camping Krush for a long time now, and only seen him once. I'm fervently hoping to find him soon, and thus brings up my dilemma should I actually encounter him. I already have a full stable; all of my pets I adore and would hate to discard. But I want Krush more than any pet I have yet to camp for. Perhaps it is because he has denied me for so long, and to tame him will fulfill my quest. As of right now, my stable consits of Gondria, Loque, Gezz, Aotona, and the oil-stained worg. The worg currently is my first candidate to dispose of in favor of the lizard, but I am wary of doing so, incase Blizz makes the glitch impossible in the future and it turns into another gezz/spiritwolf. Any comments/opinions would be greatly appreciated! Even as I write this post i'm camping Krush, but no luck at all so far today. =/

I'd say that Loque and Gondria are the easiest to retame. Well, Gondria in my experience - I've yet to see Loque. :( I'd also worry about losing the void wolf, Aotona is damn rare, and gezz has to stay.... Do you use Loque and Gondria differently?

*nods* I agree with Sara, I'd say take the time to think about your two Spirit Beasts and choose one of them to go. Gondria's the easiest to retame, but I have no idea what your sentimental value is with those pets, so it's up to you. :)

I often switch between the two cats. I'm more attacthed to Gondria however, he was my first spirit tame. Loque I recently abandoned to get one of the brainbugs, but when they got hotfixed a very nice GM restored her to me. Now i'm reluctent to release her again, incase I don't get lucky finding her or canno't get her restored a second time. Gondria i'm reluctent to get rid of because I just love him so much, and as I said, scared I won't be lucky lol.

Hmm, well if that's the case my second recommendation would be Aotona. I know she's hard to tame as well, but with Gezz and the Worg you probably don't want to let them go since there's a chance of never getting them again. Aotona may be tough, but in Cataclysm there will be far less activity in Northrend and you can always get her again.

True. Plus she's the easiest of them all to tame because of only one spawn point. I figure i'll just release the worg when I find Krush (if I ever do) then decide if I should drop Aotona or one of the cats to retame the Worg. Sigh, still no sign of the dino. No matter what time I camp, I have yet to even see a corpse.

Aotona has about 5 spawn points, but nonetheless shouldn't be too hard to find again if you had to. ^^

Something tells me that Cataclysm can't come soon enough for us. I'd say abandon Aotona if Loque and Gondria are not viable, and I'd hate to see the Oil-Stained Wolf get discarded as well, that's a neat trick.

Five? I only ever saw posts about one. 0.o Then again, I havent looked at posts about her in a long time. I found my pretty bird by accident back when I first hunted for Krush. He was flapping around under a tree in the swampy area by some crocs and snakes. When I saw him I freaked out, because I was accidently still MM spec at the time. I had to quick switch specs, swiveling my camera the whole time, trying to keep an eye out for anyone else. But thankfully no one dropped by, and he was mine. I use him the least of the pets, just because he seems like the squishiest pet, but because i've only seen him once in game I never wanted to drop him. And yes, Cata cannot come soon enough! It's just a pain, dropping pets you've had with you for so long and are hard to get. :(

Yup, Aotona has a few points. Also you don't need to be BM to tame Aotona, she's just a regular bird of prey, not an exotic. ^^

Yea, I realized that after I tamed her. But at the time I was half asleep, and finding her had shocked me. Was in such a rush to tame her, I was still stuck thinking *Gotta be BM!!*. lol, just glad my lil slip hadn't cost me the bird while I was switching specs. Also, since shes so rare and different, she is practically exotic hehe.

i have to agree with everyone else if it was me i would let gondria or loque go since they are the easiest to get back. I would lean more toward Gondria, on our server she is always around. gl luck on getting krush he makes a wonderful pet

Thanks so much everyone for all your input. Makes my decision that much easier. I'd bake you all cookies if I could, lol. =) And still no luck on Krush, still flying circles on my rusty proto!

*Hands you cookies* I'd offer Krush some sweets if he would spawn for me, but i'm pretty sure he'd rather eat me!

OMG. After spending over 10 hours camping in schol, I was bored and sat here reading my book. I absently moved my char around the map while reading, and had gotten so engrossed in the story I wasnt paying attention. Then BAM I heard drums and horns, and I sorta threw my book off my lap, hurridly clicking on the lil popup to target Krush. He had I guess spawned near the waterfall and gone walking towards me. I had such an adrenaline rush when I saw him! I quickly sent my wolf in, and waited for it to be feared. Then I popped my trinkets (brooch and a brewfest stein) and did bm/tame. But the brewmaiden pulled aggro and my BM faded! Then I shot Krush, and his HP was already halfway down. :( I quickly started the tame, and omg as the tame ticked down I was freaking out. When the gold flash went off, I actually shouted in joy! I had around 3k hp left, and I had a dreadsaber beating on me while I was trying to tame. I was so frightened he was going to fear me! And right after I tamed, two level 80s showed up and just staired at me, so I quickly left. (Pvp server!)

Now to figure out a name :o

Congrats!!!

I swear there's a Murphy's Law somewhere that if you post a thread about not being able to find a pet it'll show up right after. :D

Hehe, maybe. That happened to someone else today too with Loque, didn't it? lol. Still haven't decided on a name for my emerald beauty. Got a few on my mind, but can't decide! Right now doing quests for seeker title, leveling my new companion at the same time. :)
