Old cliff jumper

hi guys, writing to ask an opinion.. today i started a sort of analisys of Old Cliff Jumper spawn time..and i realized it is not "timed"..it is kind of "Forced".
in that zone there are white wolves..and if you kill constantly all wolves, in my opinion you can Force the Old Cliff Jumper to spawn, today i tried, and in 2 hours he spawned 3 times!
so i'm thinkin' he's not a really Rare spawn with precise time to camp..he's just a sort of Strange spawn that can appear if you continuously kill mobs that share model(but not skin) with him.
also in the area there's another rare spawn that is razortalon, a kind of ally chicken druid but with horde colors, also i killed him 2 times in one hour by "forcing" him to spawn, killing those moonkin in the area.

Really, 3 times in 2 hours? That would indeed suggest something other than the usual long camping timers. I'm very curious to find out more about this, perhaps some Petopians can do some testing?

yes 3 times in two hours, i continuously killed wolves till my npc scan went off, then killed, logged out, cleared cache, relog and again killing wolves. it works! i'm triyng just now to make him spawn. and NOW he spawned. i dunno if it is a bug..but in my opinion it is a normal game mechanic..we just Consider the old cliffy a rare spawn.. wondering if it works with rak'shiri too..

meh i always camped him...twice. but replaced him with oily ow he's sp darn cute!!!!

i have the old cliff..and first time i founded him i did the same as i am doing now..i tried to find a way to make the pet spawn..and after 20 minutes of killing he spawned..so today i started that analisys.

That's odd...

When I camped him, there was an Alliance bot in the area repeatedly wiping the wolves. Still didn't see him for at least 8 hours, following the bot around and camping exhaustively. If others could test this it'd be nice but I can't face another OCJ camp

I'm trying to apply this technique to rak'shiri in winterspring but seems don't work,when i went there one hour ago she was walkin around,asked for hunters in the zone for someone to tame it,then killed and started killing other tigers,but till now she didn't respawn.there are some 60 questing so i'll stop killing tigers,but i think that the Old cliff's method don't work with rak'shiri.
