If you're planning on rolling a shammy...

Check out this new glyph posted on MMO:
Arctic Wolf *New* - Alters the appearance of your Ghost Wolf transformation, causing it to resemble an arctic wolf.

Eeeeee! :D I like Nas as the warm brown barky puppy, but my dwarf shammy is DEFINITELY going arctic!

Ah cool. So that's what the idea of the 'aesthetic' glyphs is gonna be like.

I dig it.

I saw that on MMO earlier, this makes me happy. :) I've always been a little miffed that my blue-skinned Draenei shaman turned into a brown ghost-wolf. Looks like I can change that come cata! (although he'll probably be polymorphed into a dwarf, but it suits just as well)

I do wonder if we'll see some other ghost wolf variaions? A black variation for example, or a ghost-worg?

Will we be seeing glyphs for the druid travel form too? (I know a lot of people who want a stag travel form)

The posibilities are endless!

Oooooh very nice! My mind's buzzing with ideas of what other cosmetic glyphs might be... What do you think hunters will see?

When I clicked on the link last night when I saw this on MMO, I saw a link for a Black Wolf glyph, but it wasn't posted on the site or screenshotted. Definitely getting 'em for my Shaman! Since glyphs are now learned and saved, you can learn them all and swap the color of your wolf whenever you get the itch- very cool!

Ooooo!
Ashpelt no longer has to be the exact opposite color to her name! Now she can actually be white! :D

Indeed, this looks very cool! Because of how I am, i'm going to keep this on a dwarf shaman and leave my draenei shaman with the ordinary ghost wolf form...Makes more lore sense, imo. Very excited!

That would be cool, but it may not make it.

I seem to recall a "glyph of the polar bear" being found in the WOTLK beta that turned the druid bear to a polar bear, but it didn't make it to live. Altered colors for druid forms came several patches later.

It would be neat if that happened though. I guess it's kind of like the "glyph of the penguin" for mages.

Blizzard decided against the polar bear glyph because they gave druids the ability to customize their appearances based on their hair/fur. That went beyond the limitations of a glyph. Ghost wolf forms seem to be detached from the appearance of the shaman, so this makes more sense for them than the uber customization. It's a form that comes from beyond the shaman, whereas the druid form really IS the druid, so it should be more closely tied.

Speaking of mages, they are getting "glyph of the monkey" for Cata. Heeeeeee. :D I think I'll do that instead of penguin. ;)

I too, dig this.

When I was rolling up a Draenaish Shammy back when TBC came out, I noticed the "brownish" wolf and too was sad. We did that badass quest on the Draenai starting zone where it turns you into a ghost cat (the lvl 7 or 8 totem quest) and I was VERY hopeful that the draenai got ghost kitties instead of ghost wolf... no such luck.

We'll see how this goes. I've been let down too many times after hearing such wonderful news. Cata will be... what it will be. Its of course MUCH easier to say this not being in beta. 8)
I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.

I must say I'm glad I've managed to get Polymorph:Turtle on my mage. I suspect that one will become unavailable now with ZG disappearing, especially considering the various glyphs which change the base polymorph spell.

*flail* I would expect that one to become an expensive buyable...or maybe a drop of some kind...*fret*

That's just unfair to future mages. D:
