Re: Teal Scorpid lives! + Tameable Seagulls
All I can say for the first part is...whoo-hoooo! The wily blue scorpion lives! That makes me very happy.
On another part, I don't see why seagulls should be in Birds of Prey. They are not exactly a Bird of Prey. I really think they should separate the birds that are currently in Birds of Prey family and give them their own family. Then there can be different skins. Really, Aotona and those bright-green parrots aren't birds of prey either.

Unless I have a pirate's outfit in Cata, I can't see having a seagull. And they should be in the carrion bird family, as they are scavengers. But as anyone who lives near the ocean can tell you, they are more like giant flying rats. Ugghh....kamoodle5 wrote:On another part, I don't see why seagulls should be in Birds of Prey. Allthough I might tame one just for those times when I'm told "Get out your wolf or GTFO..

Loud, obnoxious, aggressive flying rats. In fact, not much at all like rats, except perhaps for intelligence.Slickrock wrote:kamoodle5 wrote:But as anyone who lives near the ocean can tell you, they are more like giant flying rats. Ugghh....

Imagine the seagulls in Finding Nemo.
Mine! Mine! Mine!

Re: Teal Scorpid lives! + Tameable Seagulls
Was the corpse of the purple snake? Because there are two common snake colours in the area that are already confirmed. One is a blue-green, the other is purple. The purple one seems to have a lower spawn rate.Draakje wrote:Went back saw a corpse of the snake that despawned soon after, was up north theres one snake there but the one that spawned after was the other type.
The contention is whether or not there are two other extremely rare colours... one being red and the other a bright green. One poster indicated there was, but an extensive search by Petopia members since has revealed nothing.

Ill go scout that area later today when i can get on the beta (cant run it on my own old pc)
It looked like one of the rare ones but i was not close enough when it despawned.
Noticed all the seagulls where dead too someone was trying to tame one but they die in one shot.
Only got mine by standing a certain spot waiting for it to come close enough to use tame beast.

VERY extensive. I'm still flying by there a few times a day, but I'm not camping it anymore. My 15hrs there were enough for me. Still no sign of the 'rare' snakes.

Until we see proper screenshots, I'm inclined to agree.Darknez wrote:I think you've been "had"Zeilla8 wrote: VERY extensive. I'm still flying by there a few times a day, but I'm not camping it anymore. My 15hrs there were enough for me. Still no sign of the 'rare' snakes.

Re: Teal Scorpid lives! + Tameable Seagulls
I've just been and checked for you, Valashe. Qirot is indeed present, but still not classed as a beast. Hopefully one day we can get a white Silithid wasp!Valashe wrote:Can someone in the beta please check to see if Qirot, the level 47 Rare Silithid Wasp in Feralas is still there and if it is tamable?
I also note that Stinglasher has had it's model changed from a blue Silithid wasp (SilithidFlyerSkinBlue) to that of the red/blue Sapphire Hive Drones from Sholazar Basin (SilithidWaspBossSkin4). Stinglasher is not classed as a beast either.

Re: Teal Scorpid lives! + Tameable Seagulls
those screenshots im sure are faked as if you look at the name its distorted and the snakes look too high res compared to the rest of the area also did they even fix the lighting issues with serpents?
EDIT: also the targetting circle looks like it was photoshopped in a real one would be more defined\
ANOTHER EDIT: also take not how few posts the provider has and that they never came back with more information the story of killing alot is also pretty odd considering if you kill all of em at least one should spawn

I honestly wanted to give that poster the benefit of the doubt, as I can't believe someone would come to the community just to intentionally mislead us, but sadly it's looking to be just a hoax. Shame that a person feels the need to do that, but ah well.

This is a really great thread so let's just leave it and move on. Veph said it best. Tis a shame, but oh well. We can focus on all the awesome things that Doth found instead ^^

Re: Teal Scorpid lives! + Tameable Seagulls
there are people who think that by doing this they can get respect where they otherwise would not i feel its a shameful degrading tactic and if they are not going to be truthful during a crucial time of information collection that they are not welcome here. but thats just my opinion from now on i wanna see all screenshots with the whole UI and the beast targeted and such so its clear no editing was done!

Yup, no sense dwelling on it, hehe. Seagulls, parrots, and wasps are still exciting!Zeilla8 wrote:This is a really great thread so let's just leave it and move on. Veph said it best.
