ZG gone in Cataclysm

I honestly won't be too upset as long as they keep it in game in some form. Having it as an outdoor area actually really appeals to me. I just hope the red raptor pet still drops somewhere, and I really pray they'll keep the tiger and raptor mounts in.

Well if the talk of it being a quest hub are true and theirs more of that than a 5man the pet is more likey to saty and the mounts not to stay UNLESS they a buyable from those trolls. I don't know how you would get rep with them tho... oh well good thing i'm exalted! lol

If they do sell them i don't think they would be exacly the same mounts ya know? manly cos the ZG ones come with feats of strengh and buyable things don't come with those.

They're already feats of strength. They might add different ones though or change the text on the existing ones to show you got yours pre-Cata. I only hope I can get the tiger to drop for me now. If not, at least I got raptor. It's a lot less common on my server anyway. If I got 10g each time I saw a tiger mount on my server/battlegroup... Well both myself and my devilsaur Brutus would be cruising around on separate mechano hogs. Mounts aside, though I love to raid ZG for fun or use it to introduce new players to raiding, I am kind of excited about it going quest-hub. I can't help but have an interest in the new (or old) lore they put into the quests.

I also can't help but wonder if the current achievement "Hero of the Zandalar Tribe" is going to turn into a feat of strength...

Guys, ZG is NOT gone. It's gone from an instanced area to a part of STV.

The bosses and their loot are not there, but the regular mobs and some named are still around.

This is really confusing. I hope they make some other way to get that mount its so cool and the only tiger horde can get I think.

I believe the gist of it is that ZG is gone "as a raid instance". From what I've read it's to become a quest hub, hopefully Horde-only. It'd be a shame to lose that zone, it's so beautiful and I'd dearly love to see it as a fully functional Troll city once more.

I so totally agree with this. It would also raise rep with a classic Vanilla Faction too, and what ol'schooler doesn't like that? However, if the mounts are not kept in the game, I'd like to see the Zandalar Tribe give them out at Exalted, or something.

Aww, every man+dog will have them in that case, given how easy post-classic rep is to get (no more Morrowgrain!). I think I'd prefer for those mounts to stay rare. It'll be disappointing to all those who did get lucky in the past otherwise.

I think the "Hero of the Zandalar Tribe" will become a feat of strengh as it's for getting exalted with a raid faction and the new faction (would proberly be named the same) would have their own. It's only fair to us who worked hard on getting to exalted with them.

It would have made for an awesome Troll city for the Darkspear had they returned there from Kalimdor, and they turned the zone into a low level area.
