Oh yeah, that. Strike my earlier comments then. The troll transformation toy is sufficient.
Not if you're already a troll ><

I thought the events were kind of disappointing...only because of a lack of a follow up after you've reclaimed the areas, and the fact that you can't make your cloak look like the ones you get (like on the test realms) is a huuuuuge disappointment :c

I knew it looked familiar. :P Its been a while hasn't it...

Honestly, I liked the gnome transformation better than the troll one, because you become a tiny gnome, with a blue underwater helmet. They look awesome and so very cute. My wife watched me do the gnomeregan fight on my older alliance toon and she was cracking up until I pop on the gnome disguise. She totally called 'not fair' that the alliance turned into something so cute and all she got on her character was turned into a stuffy troll chick. That and not being a huge wow follower like me, she was kinda lost on why we got the "decorative" capes.

Did I hear right that this is one of the many patches for "retaking" the troll and gnome cities? I really and truly hope so, as only the trolls got a happy ending. The gnomes got blown back to square one. There's a lot of room to grow and I hope to see the full cities for each race before the cataclysm hits...
I don't really feel like this is so much the "Post-Modern" era as much as its the "Pre-Zombie-Apocalpse" era. I consider myself more of a forward thinking guy and an era that just won't die is just as feasible as a coming era, where the dead come back.

This isn't all though. It's just the beginning, Blizz has said there's much more to come. :)

I thought it was a fun event, even if it was something you could just AFK though. Worth it though for the Troll lore. I did the Gnome one on the PTR since I knew I wouldn't see it otherwise. It's fun too. Both different and epic in their own ways. =) I do like the Troll costume more than the Gnome one, but then I really like that armor set!

I recorded Zalazane so I I could remember it when it's gone. Spoilers of course.

I really enjoyed the troll event. Sure, it was short, and the cloak is not the greatest thing in the world, but I found it exceedingly fun to get myself involved in the efforts to (finally) reclaim the isles. There is just a lot of cool stuff to see, and the voice acting was very good.

I'm going to have to get Karrosh a few more levels so that I can do it again. It just made me happy, and increased my anticipation for Cata even further.

The Echo Isles seem to be under perpetual rain and you can't steal a tank from the gnomes. I didn't try to "steal" the tiger-spirit, it didn't seem to be worth the effort. :(
