New spirit beast??

Hey guys I heard a rumor in general chat the other day in uldum about blizz making a camel spirit beast in uldum.... I WANT IT if any1 sees it or hears anything about it tell me plz

A camel? Hahahahaha! That's hilarious. What'd its ability be, spirit spit? (Yes I know I'm mixing animal families, but it's what popped into my head. ;P)

While I'm hopeful that we'd see other pet families represented as spirit beasts (I'm holding out hope for a wind serpent and I know others have talked about raptors and devilsaurs) I doubt we'd see a completely new pet family (since camels aren't a tameable family as it is) represented that way.

I'm not in Cata but I really don't see a camel being a spirit beast or even a pet. I may be wrong but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Edit: From what I know the camels are also mounts.

Camels are currently not tameable and I dont really expect them to, they're a beast in the same vein as Kodo

Had to join the site (after lurking and not posting for a couple years) just to reply to this. I'd tame a spirit camel just for the 'lolwut' value of it... but I don't see that happening. I'm kinda crossing my fingers for a spirit fox at some point.

hmmm ...well now that I think about it that wouldnt matter. They are concidered a spirit beast, not a cammel, they would have all the abilities Loque or Skoll has. Just because we cant tame its family doesnt mean we couldnt tame a spirit beast using its model. That being said tho I dont think the beast will be a camel. Im AM hoping for a spirit fox, or another version of skoll who is red. (many of you will know who im referenceing)

Never say never - if beetles can be non-tenacity, and (even though they finally yanked it just before live) tenacity could get dash in the 3.0 PTR, then I think it's fair to say there's at least one person on the dev team who's willing to implement any change whatsoever, no matter how random or unlikely.

Personally I think these would be good candidates for upcoming spirit beasts: wind serpent (quetzal coatl), arcane serpent, owl, fox or crow, to name a few.

I wouldn't say no purely because camels are mounts.

Lions, Raptors, Turtles, Bears, Tigers and Wolves are all mounts of some kind as well after all!

I still doubt it'll happen but I don't think "oh it's a mount" would be the reason.

Who says Spirit Beasts can't consist of normally un-tameable beasts? Maybe in their normal lives. But not in undeath.
