Try not to ding on the first date. Stay in the blue xp so you don't move too fast. Don't set your hearth anywhere you don't want to wake up tomorrow. Protection is not just a spec, its a way of life. A girl likes a guy with a high cooking skill and a low fishing skill... unless she likes fish feasts. Toss out a cute and cuddly mini-pet beforehand to sweeten the deal. A freezing trap might scare her off, so you'll probably have to tame her old school. It'll hurt more, but you can't tame 'er without being able to take a few hits anyhow. If it all goes to hell, feign death, drop agro and get clear. Remember, the most satisfying tame is the hardest and probably the one that hurts the most. Good hunting, God-speed and feed her for goodness-sake or she'll become unhappy and leave.

Awesome date was awesome. Thanks for the advice guys, there was no dinging on the first date, although quite a healthy percentage of bar was filled. Also, the date-unit did, in fact, cook for me! (i'm not sure how he knew to. Mayhaps Petopia forum goers are psychic?)
