Any news on a mac-friendly version, out of curiosity? After catching up on this thread I'd love to see Arctica or Felyndril getting these lovely emotes, but I have a mac, so.....

Also, I dunno what emotes you finally went with for the Spirit Beasts, but here's an idea if it hasn't been implemented in some way/shape/form already. My hyena on the 'non-patched' PetEmote frequently lets out a 'high-pitched whoop' and sometimes 'answering whoops are heard in the distance.' It'd be kinda neat (if creepy) for the spirit beasts to give a 'long, ethereal call' of some sort, maybe 'before stopping and listening.' There could be two follow-ups: 'He/she seems to hear something, but nothing reaches your ears,' or 'warped, answering calls can be heard through the air,' or something like that.

I remembered from the beginning of this thread we were talking about mac compatibility, so that's what I posted on last.

Having gone back to reread that discussion, it's only the EDITOR that is non-mac-compatible. But you're doing that, and providing the document, so no worries. I think....

Downloaded your patch, I'll go back in a sec and look at the instructions to add the new emotes and then I'll jump on and see if they work. ^^

Edit: It does! The only thing that might be confusing for a mac user is talk about extracting into folders and whatnot. My mac, at least, automatically unzips things as soon as you click on them without asking for a directory.

The easy solution is to just drag and drop the three files from your download folder into the 'Pet Emote' folder. Added a screenshot just in case

Quick feedback! Just tamed a corehound. I switched it to being female, but it said she 'amuses himself melting small rocks.' Might wanna double-check that.

Edit: Geez louise! This emote came up again ("howls in stereo and amuses HERSELF"). I know I switched it to female. Then I did my talent assignments for her. Maybe that reset it? Anyway, I set it to female again, and everything's been female since.

The "howls in stereo" emote is genderless and it conjugating with the other one wouldn't have any effect on the writing.

No, I don't think there was a problem after all. It must've reset the gender after I gave her talent points and a name, but I didn't realize the gender got switched back to the male default when you did one of those XP
