I'll say! I BARELY managed to defeat Red with my lvl 60-something and 78 Umbreon team XD This is why I LOVE Umbreon's defences. She can take a hell of a lot of damage and still survive! Not to mention her awesome Special Attack stat for her species. I got SO lucky with this Umbreon! Honestly, when I went to get the gift Eevee in the game, I thought to myself, "Okay, save before you do this so you can reset for a female.." First Eevee... FEMALE. ... "Okay, that's just amazing." Not only that, her nature is Serious (Pfft, yeah right XD She's totally not Serious. Oh well XD) and her characteristic is Mischevious (Now that's more like it!). If anyone doesn't know, a Serious nature has no draw backs or advantages for stats, but Mischevious is good for Special Attack. Pretty lucky for my first Eevee, eh? It's gets even better. A few months ago, I read up about IVs. Individual Values. Each Pokemon has IVs for stats, so even if you have two.. Let's say... Totodiles. Both same level, gender, everything. One might have slightly better Attack than the other thanks to their IVs. Now, at the Battle Frontier in the game, there's an NPC who can tell you a Pokemon's IV, basically. So I went to check and low and behold.. My Umbreon "Can't Be Better" in.. Special Attack. ... Yeah. Luck much? XD

I have never found red to be a tough fight...Maybe its because I keep such well rounded teams that for the most part anything thrown at me I'll have a counter for.

I know in the original Silver/gold/crystal games I beat all Reds pokemon with my typhlosion, and only switched to my pidgeot for blastoise. I think I was around lv 65/70 then.

I knooooow I'm so excited! Though I know it will make me desperately wish I was fluent in Japanese so I wouldn't have to wait for months to actually play them while knowing what's going on. :T I can't wait to see if Yooterri (The little puppy), Choroneko (the purple cat), Shimama (Electric zebra) or Churine (the bulb-like one) will get evos.

Though, I'm still really tossed up on whether or not I should spoil the Pokémon for myself... It's really nice being able to pick out your favorite look/the strongest/a balanced team, but it's always fun not knowing what your little Poké will evolve into.

one looks kinda like a stone bull (with little wings?!?), one looks like a grass aceus/sky shaymin cross with wingthings, and the last one looks like a blue goat/llama with small wings.

I like the blue one best. Why? cuz its BLUE!!!

yeah, that was one of my firsth thoughts to lol!!

Pokemon center now has global link, and pokemart all in same building. one of the first pokemon to be encountered will be the wonderful deranged chipmunk.
Graphic wise its taking a big step forward. You get your own bigscreen tv in your bedroom, sweet! Computer screens/tubes in the profs. house now have motion image. Team plasma is encountered very early on. Sounds like the soundfiles have been upgraded a bit as well.
that pink pig dream pokemon (the first evo) is found roughly when your teams about 15-17lv after aquiring the cut ability (sam graphics as HG/SS) in a rundown building. and you have to rescue it from team plasma.

Ohhh the new moves look really cool!! especially the fire!

Definitly have to get this game early...even if i cant speak/read japanees, I'll figure it out.

Regarding the starter evolutions.. Why in the world do people keep calling Mijumaru's fully evolved form a UNICORN?! It's STILL a freakin' OTTER. Its "horn" is a part of its crest/armour! Jeez! Also.. To heck with the Fire and Grass starters! Mijumaru is SO gonna be my starter! <3 <3 <3

I've actually been planning to get the Japanese games too! Since I'm way too impatient to wait til they're released here! XD And even though I also can't read Japanese, I'll get through the game somehow! XD

I actually really like the horn. It's cool! Miju's final evo has grown on me a wee bit, but the only thing that sort of bothers me still is the whiskers and kind of the feet. The whiskers are rather big and distracting. A little smaller might look better, IMO. The feet are minor though, because it just looks to me like it could get painful standing on fin tips all the time. Also, is it just me or does it look like Miju's third evo has some kind of thumbs on it's forelimbs? Interesting... *imagines him taking off conch shell and brandishing it like club or sword*

I've heard he's got two preevos, but Rankurusu itself is the final form. Take that with a grain of salt though, as it came from a guy whose been correctly predicting pretty much every Pokémon, but it's still a rumor.
