That eye disease is exactly why I don't like him :/ I prefer the greyish white anyway, too, since having seen live white tigers every day for three months I can say that they are more likely to be either grey and dirty or yellowish dirty unless they just came from a swimGimlion wrote: I didn't notice before, but you're right. He's missing his pupil that the other tigers have, as well as being a much brighter and fuller color than the others.
Also, I can't wait for the turtles, if they're tamable (don't see why they wouldn't be, but I've said that before and the beast wasn't, so who knows.) Those turtles are absolutely gorgeous.

Edit: see, especially while seeing them side by side I prefer the "grey white". I understand that Blizz make white creatures bluish so they kind of pop out better from their surrounds but it really annoys me.

To be fair, it is a fantasy game, which gives them the chance to put in whatever creatures they feel. Heck, there's an ugly green and orange one there too. To me it looks so out of place. xDSherbe wrote:I understand that Blizz make white creatures bluish so they kind of pop out better from their surrounds but it really annoys me.
The more I look at them, the more I'm starting to prefer the greyish-white one as well. I bet that if that frost one wasn't there, the white one would seem less 'dirty' and people would probably like it more.

^ i dont like rarespawns, i dont like having to camp them, its not fun and its not productive in any way and it kills my experience. Rarespawns frustrate me, they serve no challenging purpose. If it was a challenge tame like molten front rares, then that'd be acceptable if it was a common since you have to work for it, not sit in your chair for hours on end with twenty other hunters circling you or patrolling overhead over the spawn points.cowmuflage wrote:I'd rather be it so theres a rare and a common that share a skin. That way it pleases both rare hunters and people who don't like to hunt rares. But what ever.
*throws in her two cents here in her own personal opinion about rares*
Camping serves no exciting challenge to the game to me. If theres going to be a rarespawn, then make a common spawn elsewhere so we can continue on with our lives. Theres too much content anyways for me to want to stand around missing out on all the fun cause im trying to camp a unique creature that i may not get to tame successfully for anywhere from the first spawn it makes live to possibly a month down the road according to how my life plays out during my camps and also what other players do when the creature spawns, and when the creature spawns to begin with.
Rare camping isnt fun to everyone and it shouldnt make a difference if you decide to go after the rare version rather then the common >< The NPC ID's are different so you still have a special pet while everyones walking around with the same 'look-a-like'. Rarespawns are more favored for sitting at hunters sides then commons cause everyone wants to show their catch to the hordes and hordes of players in cities and dungeons and raids, it doesnt become special anymore if theres no common look-a-like to make it boring to the rare hunters.

Nooo, don't take away my beloved, common browns!Sherbe wrote:Someday, I'd like to see a rare that is the most "ugly" or "normal" colour. Like for example if brown Madexx was the only rare or if the brown/orange of these new tigers were the rares. I'd like to see rareshinyness vs. monochrome/unnatural colours that seem to be popular. Would people tame the brown rare or the common white next to it?

Re: MoP beast model shots <image heavy>
As I said, rare spawns to me aren't important, but I do feel that some should be left rare and that's all. I think that if you don't want to camp, don't camp. You don't actually need to camp half the time anymore for rares. Just wait until the crowd goes down. Heck, an hour or so ago I flew around Sholazar Basin and found Aotona and King Krush on a whim. And I'm on a high population server too with rare hunters and mount collectors all over the damn place. I've been unlucky with Time Lost and I do camp him here and there but I don't see it as a necessary thing to camp him in order to eventually get him. Just do quick trips in the mornings before college/work/whatever and who knows what you'll find.
So, basically, in this situation and assuming that the bright-white tiger is rare and the other isn't, you can camp for it if you like and you can tame the other if you don't want to camp.

Re: MoP beast model shots <image heavy>
Anyways, even though we're technically discussing what the white tiger might end up becoming in-game, my interest is starting to shift over to the dragon turtles. We've already seen common skin turtles (brownish orange with grey shell) in a screenie in Pandaria, but what about the dragon turtles? Has anyone seen them walking around in the wild o.O Im reeeeeeally interested to know if we'll encounter them as tameable beasts or not, since we've confirmed they will be mounts as well. *wants an onyx+red mount and pet*
