Resident exploiter/bug finder that is currently looking for a bug that can safely be shared to tame unintended pets.
Found a bug? Contact me so I can investigate; it's likely far worse a bug than what you think.
For proof that I'm not making things up, feel free to look at my Blusky account; @campaigner.bsky.social
Minor achievement; my group got six nasty exploits fixed on May 12th! Super satisfying.

EDIT: If the newest alpha build is anything to go by... Score!

As always, sorry for my English level.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 9:57 am Since there are far too many examples to list, so I'd like to throw this out there; just let tamed NPCs keep their wild name when tamed. We can freely rename pets already, so it's not as if there would be any issue in that regard.
You see, every year I do a lot (and I mean A LOT) of Battle for Azeroth expeditions (because of my pet and transmog giveaway event on January 6th in my realm—by the way, you're all invited!—Shen'dralar Europe realm, around 5:30 PM in Stormwind xd).
And every year the same thing happens: it makes me really sad to see such cool rares in expeditions, and that 90% of them are untamable...
Every time I see Nok-arak <Warrior's Lament>, I cry.

And yes, I'm aware that there are two identical unnamed wolves in Zuldazar that can be tamed, but as a great Spanish singer once said, "No Es Lo Mismo / It's not the same" -> https://youtu.be/xNgTMDRoa60?t=36...
And it's not just him, but dozens and dozens of rares. While almost all models are tamable now, many have splendid and amazing names.
Crabs, bears, deer, and more (even wolves without bandages), all fantastic and all wasted potential.
I know it would be a huge undertaking, but it was done for wolves with cloth bands... I wish it could be extended to the rest. In fact, many already have assigned families and diets... it would just be a matter of changing the domestication flag and the name retention flag.

Dear kind lurker,
Can you make a tamable feathermane version of this mount? You don't need to make it an tamabale armoured beast but I would love a rock-themed feathermane to go with my Earthen hunter. Besides, it's such a waste that this exact model is just used for a mount.

Right now, I've been having to constantly feed mine Kibler's Bits just to get it to a size where it can sort of stand alongside my new model white warp stalkers without looking ridiculous. I've spent tens of thousands of gold on 400 Kibler's Bits because of this (I just love these guys that much). It got me thinking — would it be possible to introduce more items, or even toys, that can increase pet size to varying degrees, and maybe with a longer duration as well? It would go a long way for those who want to keep using these smaller-looking models without breaking the bank or constantly re-applying buffs.

Re: Suggestions for our Lurker.. ;)
First for basically everyone the glyph system should be revamped to a way better more varied state, like glyphs should be open to all specs and not tied to spells per spec. For example I am survival with pack leader rolling ursine fury and I want to use glyph of dire stable on survival spec rather than BM. rather than being tied to a ability it should be similar to the old glyph system where you apply the glyph, it should also be similar to the new mog system, glyph abilities depending on situations and settings. For fury mountain thane I once wanted to use glyph of thunder strike on my character but it said it was for protection only and we got thunder clap back a while ago. A mix between the old glyph system & new transmog system would be life changing
This idea is for DKs, specifically unholy but it could possibly work for other specs. Raise dead should be revamped, not ability wise but appearance wise. Glyphs should be removed and allow DKs to bind certain undead mobs as a minion, similar to Hunter taming, but DKs can only have one minion and one appearance, still make it better for hunters. I’ve seen so many cool appearances throughout the years I would have loved to run with. Now dk is so fun to play it would make it another even more fun class to play.
For hunters. Survival needs some new one handed weapon animations, the 2h animations are very weird, especially during raptor swipe. And there should be new glyphs for pack leader to summon a random pet from our stable in place of the bear summon, similar to dire stable, but I don’t mind the name “bear” on any appearance as long as anyone can use their pets in glory. I wish there was a way to glyph wyvern & boar, which I think it’s also possible even though they are visuals. Glyph of the gryphon, Hippogryph or even Wolfhawk could be good replacements for the wyvern, and different boar appearances for the boar like different color, armor tint, or make the boar look like rexxar’s.
Something else that still needs to be addressed is more forgotten tameables and potential families. Soul eaters, skeleton horses, razorwings, etc still need to be flagged tameable. New families we need are a new group for ottuks, skunks and marsuuls. A wyvern family for non feathered or beaked feathermanes. And a full fledged gastropod family, the potential is there it’s just not being looked at.
Lastly this is minor. The readyunarmed animation for raptors needs to be added to wild ravasaurs & falcosaurs. Every single raptor already has it. Heck even Gonk & the saddled ravasaurs. The dreamrunners should be given the new gallop animation from the new headless horsemen mount model. The windsteed model is used as the base then modified. The animation should also be given to windsteeds, owlsteeds, and vorquins, the current running animations are so bad, the models are incredible but I can’t with their hops. Armoredons, DF rhinos, and thunder lizards should have the new running animations used on the Chloroceros. KSM mounts are the beginning of it. The wild armoredons should specifically get the new attack animations, they still use old static kodo animations. Wild hawkstriders and hornstriders should get the new running animations, the new hawkstrider mounts have it now. Bfa horses should have the new animations, it would make me tame one again. Can’t forget the draenor boars & skullboars, direhorn animations and boars don’t mix
Another suggestion I wanted to bring up and it applies to cats. Every new cat added moving forward, not current ones, but whether it’s the next expansion or next patch, should use the Shredclaw & grimlynx animations. Their animations are more akin to real life cats, they stand tall and their sprints are very similar to big cat pursuits. The old swaying back and forth standing animation already needs to retire, it’s been around since day 1 and I think it’s getting old
A few size buffs & nerfs should be done to some hunter pets. Shredclaws & chloroceroses are in need of a size buff, they are so tiny, a normal direhorn is larger, and Shredclaws are even smaller than a darkhound. Veilwings should also have a size buff. Salamanthers should be shrunk, their huge which is fine but it makes them way appear too long, they should be similar in size to warp stalkers. This is all I have to suggest

The first time I saw a cow in my Alliance neighborhood, I immediately swapped over to a hunter. I was also disappointed by the resulting failure.WerebearGuy wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2026 1:43 pm I went afk in my neighborhood, came back to see a cow sleeping right in the middle (well, mostly) of my screen, and a primal urge overtook me. It's labeled as a beast, is free range, but is not tameable. There is a very clear problem here. We already have several bovid beasts we can tame, with the Oxen family being nothing BUT bovids and stags having a large number of bovids. What's one more bovid in the family? Let us tame cows in the Oxen family!
