Hunters can be a bit spoiled, I agree. But other people are just as bad sometimes. :) Personally, the main reason I play a hunter is the amount of choice I have when it comes to my pets. I've tried other classes and just cannot get into them, because I love hunting pets down the most in game. I'm already on my fourth hunter right now, and have two more waiting in the wings once I level this one, lol.

If that group wanted to kill it themselves, they shouldn't have posted it in the trade chat. That was indeed asking for someone to come and try to kill it or tame it out from under them. Its not wise to post a rare spawn anywhere, unless you yourself do not want it.

But anyways.

Not to the gifthorse in the mouth about wanting more rare spawns. :) Out of all the spirit beasts out there, Loque is the best, so keep looking for him. I have him on both of my hunters that are leveled enough for him, and plan on getting him on the other two once I level them high enough. He is the signature pet for my main, and is never out of my on hand slot. I lost my gondria in a stable glitch once, since then Loque-whom I looked for so long for-never gets stabled.

Sambas is a gorgeous cat to me, go for him if you want to have him! I camped for him as soon as I hit 85-I didn't even go to train for my level 85 ability till after I got him. Took about six hours or so after I had leveled to find him. It was pretty funny too, a goblin hunter came to where I was camping and start greifing me, popping traps all over the place to tag him should he spawn first and being over all rude. I got fed up and decided to just patrol the other spawn points finally, because this jerk was being a real jerk, and flew off. Next spawn point up the map my NPCScan goes off as I fly over and I lad to tame my pretty kitty. :) Lets say I had fun going to where that goblin was and showing off my pretty new kitty-though I did jump on a horde toon to tell them the location and time of the spawn so they could try again later-some people might be an ass in game but you don't have to be.

Good luck camping those rares. The thrill of the hunt is the best part of the game to me.. :)

There's nothing wrong with that opinion. As long as you don't kill a rare just because there's a hunter going to tame it and you want to spite them for no good reason, then it's a fair enough argument. Although saying something close to 'killing rare mobs is fun' on a forum where everyone loves rare hunter pets is risky. And could be considered as trolling since it's going to aggravate people no matter what.

I've killed rare pets before. I've killed Skoll at least twice, Loque'nahak twice for Frostbitten and my boyfriend's Frostbitten, Arcturis once and Terrorpene once. Of course, I ALWAYS try and get someone to come and tame them first. It's been successful on a number of occasions. But after a while of asking I think to myself, "These are rare pets. They're meant to be hard to get. And the longer you spend looking for one, the better it feels afterwards when you have it." So I kill them. Because I want to give the hunters the thrill of the hunt. Or simply just make it harder. Of course I'm not constantly going out every few hours when I know the rare will spawn again and kill it over and over, that's just silly. But if I happen to come across one when I'm in the area or headed somewhere, I'll give people a head's up that the rare is there and if no one responds, well, it's dead.

However I do have a habit of just sitting and watching them. I have no clue why. I once sat and watched Skoll for at least an hour. I suppose maybe I'm curious as to what they might do. Do they despawn after so long? Do they perhaps move spawn points? Maybe I'm just waiting to see how long it takes someone else to come and tame or kill it. And if someone kills it I tell them they shouldn't have done that just to make them feel guilty I was watching them kill someone's future pet, because I'm a total hypocrit like that. xD

The Ghostcrawler story is epic! I wish I could have been in the trade chat to hear them QQ

And I think it would be great to be part of a GC raid. I wanna see what he drops. But seeing the wipes if I was in the area would make me bust a gut loling.

Also gratz on the tames and nah you just have a delayed blessing of the RNG Goddess!

Yeah GC would be haaaard. Cause:

1) Nerfbat, unlimited range, no cooldown, stacks

2) Nerfbat removes the ability to keep aggro so he's gonna go after the healers first

3) Hits like a truck

4) Lotta health

5) Aaand to top it off, you gotta do it all in 30 seconds or less

Right, so both my Loque and Sambas taming stories are not nearly as exciting as Ghostcrawler. I was just doing my daily sweeps and they both spawned right under me. I ice trapped Sambas and went all giggly in guildchat.. people thought I was Bonkers!

With the new patch I've had no luck so far, and one hunter on my server as far as I know has actually killed Deth'Tilac! :( and probably tamed all the others. So, I'm up at 2 am cause my kitty did a smelly poo..! ¬.¬ and figured my dailies restart at 3 am so I might as well go for an early tame for my favourite color spider and pretty crab or kitty :3
