Aha, you had a bit better time then I had. I just happened to stumble over Loque, yes, and even with two alliance in the area who had been patrolling. That Loque was meant for me and I still have him. [Kinda glad too, the alliance was a pet hoarder, 4 KKrush...come on. I determined he was the reason I had such a hard time finding Krush back then.]

Krush on the other hand was my 'WOAH, WAIT A MINUTE' pet. Horror stories of the hardest tame ever. Success stories of a green T-rex that would rip your face off over and over again, but still came home with you. I've loved dinosaurs longer then anything, which was my base for my love of dragons. [Dinosaurs with WINGS? Aw yeah. Incredible ten year old thinking, I know.] I had NPCscan a ways before I hit 80 due to some info I picked up on how helpful it was to get the Time Lost Proto with, but what was this? Omg, it came with all the Northrend rares -including- the tamables? Bliss. Sadly, one of my first tromps through Sholozar ended up making it go off for a big green meany. Poor Krush. My first sight of the monster and I was too scared to try it because I was lvl78. I hesitated and that moment cost me my beautiful tame. Death crept away with him after a Gnome DK's NPCscan went off.

Crushed, but not beaten. I continued my climb to 80 and I made it with Krush constantly on the forefront of my mind. I heard he needed good armor to be dealt with, haste....lots of haste, corehound, pet abandon macro. I had it all ready, but when I caught sight of him patrolling the bottom half of Sholo....there still wasn't enough that could be done. I even had a healer try to help me and Krush stomped us, litterally, and threw me to the side so many times. I was making yet another corpse run when my help called out in party that someone ganked my devil right as his dead body came in view. Crushed again. I feel sorry for the Dreanai Shammy that was there who had been watching. Out of frustrated I /rude at him and yelled in local only to find out it was an Undead Rouge that stole my reptile's life. My own faction, wth man?

I persisted, staying in the Basin almost the entire time aside from a few quick flights around which lead to a new friend, Gondria, by my side. My first Spirit Beast. She lifted my spirits enough to keep going. If I could find and tame one rare...then I could beat this green lizard and make him come home with me. Right? I thought so anyway. The 20 second tame was my only enemy. Many restless days strung together and playing SecondLife at the same time to keep me busy almost seemed worth it the moment my NPCscan went off. Another chance? No. It was Krush alright, but I was a few seconds too late. He came into view...but what...he's not pathing...OH NO, He's fighting! I landed and emoted everything I could to try and get the NElf bear druid off of him. Alas, they were far more interested in achievment points that -do nothing-. What really put salt on the wound was a NElf hunter who came down and helped her finish him off. Crushed again.

Would this devil ever be mine? I gave up for a while. Then the patch came. 10 second tames, was this real? It was and it boosted my moral yet again. Another round of sleepless nights followed after, continually pathing the Basin for even the sight of a green tail disappearing around a corner. I was about to give up for the night, but my best friend teasingly asked what happened to my endless patience. It helped and my NPCscan went off a couple hours later in the wee hours of the morning. Freaking out, I keyspasmed in my guild chat, which is just me and my best friend thank god, and swirled around to see a giant green dino heading right for me! I knew he had fear and I had enough of a mind left to settle on the ground where he wouldn't run me into anything....with hope...and popped my tame. Ack, feared! But with enough time, thank you Voodoo Shuffle, that I managed to pop my tame again before he could fear again. The gold ring went up and he started to shrink as he stepped by my side. I had my devil and he wasn't ever going anywhere. :3

I named him Krusha after my best friends warrior. xD If it wasn't for him, I might have missed my big, mean ol' Rex.

Wow that's one hell of a story. :3 I don't think I have any such interesting stories like that about my pets, but it's similar to me and my Aeonaxx mount. I was told by my boyfriend and a couple of lovely friends to not give up until I got him, because I was so close to quitting, thinking that Aeonaxx didn't even exist on my realm or that he had spawning problems or something. The whole week was chaos, each day of it has it's own story, but I won't go into that. Instead I'll just say that I was JUST about to log off and do something else for the day when my NPC Scanner went off and I got my beloved drake. It was only people telling me to keep on camping that even logged on that morning at all, and in the end I'm so bloody glad I did. :3

This morning I did a bit of camping for King Krush before doing my Molten Front dailies, and I came across Loque and had some fun with him.

Before I killed him of course. (Hate me all you like but I was hoping if I killed him, Krush would spawn. And I asked around for AGES but no one wanted him. :/)

I just hate it when you can't find a rehome for something so nice. I spent nearly an hour one night trying to find someone to take him myself. Another hour another night trying to give Arcturis a home.

Even tried poking a lvl83 BM hunter for him and she didn't even have A CLUE what a Spirit Beast was. I just quietly shook my head and went on about my business. How she got to 83 without knowing what one of her main pets for BM was beyond me.

We're called huntards for a reason. :P

Also, I remember almost every single time I flew into the Storm Peaks I would find Skoll and try to rehome him. These days, now that I'm looking for him again, he's never there...

Just tamed Arcturis! <: I did a quick check before my raid and bam, there he was. Just Skoll now and that's my SB collection complete! (Minus Ghostcrawler, because he sucks.)

Congrats on Arc! I've also noticed a big decline in how often Skoll and Loque are roaming about on my own server. No one goes through Northrend hardly anymore. More high level hunters doing exactly what you are doing and finding what they want, I suppose. I've had really good lucking helping friends hunt them and sometimes really bad luck, I guess it just depends on the day!

So I had my own little ._. moment this morning.

Looking for Nuramoc, no sign of him until I get to the very last edge of the last spawn point I needed to check when npcscan goes off! This is what I saw.

That sucks. :/ I don't really like that model of chimera but I hate finding a dead rare pet...

All I know is I'm dead pleased to have him back! And while playing around with my pets and mounts this morning, I found this. Don't Skarr [Rognvald] and my Rusted Proto just go so nicely together?

Shame I don't have an Ironbound Proto yet, hopefully will grab that one soon! (Or even more hopefully, a Frostwyrm...)
