Like a stab in the back...

Unread post by Kuraine »

Been looking around Sholazar for a week or so now, on and off, and this is the first thing I come across. Sigh.

Ouch. Well, at least now you know his rough timer. Hopefully you'll be able to get him in a few hours.

I honestly have no clue what Krush's timer is. xD

I just check around every morning/evening for all those pets I abandoned before and haven't yet got back again - Loque, Krush, Aotona (Was about to tame her and my boyfriend accidentally killed her, derp.), Skoll and Arcturis. I only abandoned them cause I was getting bored of WoW and wanted something to keep me busy, but I'm slowly collecting them back up again!

Try a 6-8ish timer, see if anything comes up.

Waking up at 6:30 AM, here I come! xD But thanks for the timer there, if I find anything, I'll post about it here.

Kinda forgot to set my alarm, so I woke up at 11:00 instead of 6:30. xD Either way, I still did a round around Sholazar. I found no King Krush, but...

... I'm proud to say Loque'nahak AKA. Myst is now part of my family once again. :)

Thanks! It's pretty simple but still takes time to put together, especially with so many pets/characters in one signature, so I'm still proud to say I made it myself. :P

Grats Chao :D

I have to say - I am guilty of killing Krush on my druid.

Albeit, unintentionally. I was leveling as a feral bear, doing the kill 60 game animals quest. I gathered up like 8 cats/rhinos and began to AoE, and multi tasked using my phone while I just repeatedly hit mangle (used berserk), switching to thrash and swipe after berserk faded. After I finally stopped having a red flashing screens, I looked up from my text... to a green Devilsaur corpse beside me.

The hunter in me died. >_<

Well it's not like I haven't killed him myself! I grabbed the Frostbitten achievement a while back, so of course I had to kill Loque, Krush AND Aotona to get that. It... kinda did hurt when I did it, but I had them as pets at the time still, so it wasn't too bad. I just felt guilty for killing someone's possible future pet. Of course I skinned them asap as well, just so no one would ever know what I did...

I don't have anything against people killing those three because there's an achievement tied to them, it's just after so long of checking into Sholazar, this is the first thing I found. It was kinda annoying, especially seeing as if I had been there just a few minutes before, he could've been my pet. But I was cheered up since Loque spawned for me this morning.

I do hope so! I still have Krush, Skoll and Arcturis left to catch before I'm finished in Northrend all over again. Of course I used to see Skoll all the time, pretty much every single time I went to the Storm Peaks he'd be there. And now I'm actually looking for him, he never appears... Typical.

Mmyeah. I've noticed it's taking longer and longer to find Skoll now and same with Loque. I see the other Northrend babies around on a constant basis though. xD I can only guess there are either more hunters around looking for him or he's just getting ganked, cause OMG RARE. You know the drill.

Krush was by BIG tame back in Wrath, even if Nibbles [My white] has my heart. They're my favs out of all my tames.

My fave has to be Loque, because it's the rare that started the hunting for me. I saw this pet and thought WOW HANG ON A MINUTE... That guy looks amazing! I need to get one of them. And then I learned about rares and his ridiculous spawn timer. But screw the timer, I was going to give it a shot. I spent a good two days or so flying around his spawn points which I had learned off by heart, and I did this the moment my hunter hit level 76, the lowest level required to tame him. This was around 8-9 hours both days? I can't remember exactly since it was way back in WotLK.

All I remember is, cause I'd just installed NPC Scan to find this rare, those war drums FINALLY going off and scaring the crap out of me for the first time. I've never panicked so much in my entire life, I totally screwed up the tame, I shot him to tag him and laid down a frost trap, of course my attack was still on so after he froze I shot him again and he basically two shot'd me. I was actually crying as I ran back to my corpse. xD I was too busy thinking that he was no longer mine, some other hunter has him now, or someone's killed him. But no, when I ressed, he was still there! I ate some food to regain health, calmed down as best I could and tried again, with success!

I've never been as chuffed and pleased about a rare pet as I was that day. I told all of general chat, "OMG I GOT LOQUE'NAHAK!!!", these days I don't tend to do that. These were the days as well when people were actually in Sholazar a lot, so I got quite a few grats's in response, which made me feel even more amazing about it. I decided to name him Mystral, which now has been shortened to Myst.

Can't be camping for hours every single day then.

Also yeah, two days seems like very little time to me now, especially after my nearly-non-stop eight days for Aeonaxx.

I give him a good 2-5 hours a day. But each time I've seen him, he's been dead or dying...

I hate camping... I feel like by camping Ankha/Deth, I'll miss Loque spawn, and vice versa... I wish I like common pet skins like I like these 3. *sigh*

Try checking early morning/late nights, worked a charm for many of my pets. ;)
