Collectors Edition Mount and Pet Preview!

The eyes, well from blizzard history with purpose built mini pets, I'm not surprised. They are not my personal cup of tea, but meh, what ever. The thing that does bug me though, is some of the design element, namely the head.

For me it really just looks like a dog/puppy. I'm glad all the dog lovers out there are happy, but it's meant to be a baby Quilen right? You put the adult and pup side by said and it looks a little odd imo. The pups head seems so overly long and drawn out (Derp?!?).

Just a simple edit (pretty much just the lower part of the face) makes it look a LOT more like an adult version, with out messing with it's "Manga" eyes, best of both worlds?

Oh, I agree that's much more quilen That was a very clever edit that made a huge difference

I would also prefer narrower eyes. The anime eyes are way too exaggerated for a beast that has really, really narrow eyes as an adult. Add some puppy fat (the poor thing looks like it has a bad case of worms and malnourishment for a pup), and a bit of hair on top of its head (so it doesn't look like it's wearing a furry neck brace), and it'd almost work.

Heh, I'm not really sure which version I like better. XD It still says "puppy" to me, but hell, even adult quilen say "puppy" to me.

I'm really not bothered by the large eyes... just because eyes don't grow, so sure, why not have them seem bigger when they're younger.
But then again, I'm a sucker for the sad puppy eyes, so it's possible that I'm biased.

Thanks guys, it wasn't all that much, but the Quilen seem to have that fu dog squishy face look, which really gives them their personality imo. The pups really did seem to be missing it which I thought was a bit of a shame.

Everyone's talking about the minipet, so I'll make a comment about the mount lol

Looks like it doesn't have wings! Which be nice I think, have it running on air instead.

I guess that would be because it's the 1st time we have seen the Mini Pet.

There was a lot of discussion on the mounts model in this thread...

..so I guess maybe some people feel they have already commented on it. Though my personal opinion still stands, the mount is nice, but a little over heavy, overly embellished (armor and decoration wise) which in turns makes a stocky modeled beast, look even more so to the point of awkwardness.

The colours of them I find also a little lack luster, I know they are meant to be stone themed, but the actual colour combos are just a little to pastel and conflicting for my personal taste. While they are nice mounts, There are others already reveled to come in MOP that make me awful lot more excited about obtaining.
