Exactly. Our pets now play a role in our group. Technically, in dungeons/heroics, it doesnt matter. Bring whatever. But in like a 10man raid, our pets are key to fill in for buffs that the raid lacks. 25mans, you most likely can bring whatever but sometimes you may have to fill a role too. such as using a corehound when you lack a shaman.William099 wrote:Hmmm thats all really interesting okay glad its not quite as bad as I thought. Devilsaurs no longer get huge? I was just outside Stormwind today and saw a devilsaur shrinking from huge back to normal size in a dual. Never had anybody try to dictate what pet I could/couldn't bring but I def would not take it either. They still took alot of damage abilities away from the pets though. So even though the powers don't do damage they are better because they balance the pets in comparision to others basically? Thats why its an improvment?

Re: WHAT THE HECK!!
Min-maxing is a general game term that comes from tabletop roleplaying games. It means "minimizing undesired traits and maximizing desired ones."

I do miss that.Xota wrote:They still can still go big-red, but monstrous bite used to increase their size more.

Don't really mind losing any of the other special effects (actually maybe the only other one was SB spirit strike? Can't recall), but devilsaur growth was so damn cool.
Sigh......
Re: WHAT THE HECK!!
I really like the new system. I especially like that I'm seeing Hunters hanging out in Dalaran or in Randoms with something other than a wolf. All of a sudden we're allowed to show a little personality beyond which wolf skin you have.
The only thing that bugs me (and this is minor, admittedly) is that I feel like being a good Hunter involves having 5 or 6 pets in my Stable that I really don't want just so I can cover Mangle or Sunders once in a blue moon. If it were truly up to me, I would never have a Hyena, Wind Serpent or Ravager. But, being a team player, I've been leveling up MangleBot, Shoelace and Skittles.
