Thinking About Madexx (Questionare!)

1.I have blue madexx,red madexx,brown madexx,black madexx. 2.Hunting green madexx. 3. I pm other hunters and keep madexx on ice for them (if it's not the green one). 4.Would prefer each colour to have it's own seperate spawn point. 5.Why must Madexx spawn in all the colours I have 11 days in a row?!

What colour Madex do you have, or are you still hunting it? Are you interested in it at all? I had the bronze first, and hated it. But kept him. I hoped for a blue, and kept hunting. Got the green. I thought I would not have taken the green had any of the hunters around wanted the tame. I was wrong. I saw him and fell in love. Wanted HIM BADLY.

Are you after any colour in particular, or are you happy with whatever one presents/presented itself to you first?
I took the bronze just because it was the first time I had ever seen him and was taming quick. I was not happy with it, and casually flew through the spawn points sometimes, telling myself if any other color was up, and no hunter around who did not have one, would take. That is what happened. I got the green. Did I mention I love the green now?

How do you feel about owning multiple Madexx colours?
I think that is up to each hunter. If somebody wants them all, best of luck. However, I would hope that if you have ONE you love, you would give another hunter who has none a chance. Hey, it gives us something to hunt for longer!

If you see Madexx running around in a colour you don't neccissarily like, would you tame it anyway?
I saw another brown, and helped a troll hunter get him. If I see a blue? Not sure I won't tame it. Red or black? Will try to whisper hunters or talk to my list of hunters to see if anybody wants. I would then fly around him hoping to scare off poachers until a hunter of any kind comes along and tames. I can't talk to alliance hunters, but would /cheer for any hunter getting a rare they want.

Would you like to see more rare spawns that have different and seperate colour spawns?
I would love to see more color variations in spawns! How about a new spirit beast, flying one, in various odd elemental colors: an ice one, black earth one, fire crackling, blue spirity color, etc.

Any other thoughts?
I want more unique skins and hard tames, but am so happy with the variety we have finally gotten. I think it has brought the hunter community together in a new way :}

I have a green one It matches my Goblin nicely, but I'm afraid I'm not really all that thrilled about the model, mainly since I'm into primarily exotic pets (might as well get the MOW buff from my Squee )

I'm happy with Green, it was the one that popped up as I was flying over. I didn't spend any time camping, I just would fly over his spots when I would go out mining.

I like the blue model, but I already have 1 Madexx whom I barely use, I think it would be greedy to continually camp these pets if you're really not into the model to begin with.

Yes, its very intriguing to have other models. Just think if there were multiple colors of Sambas, white lion, black lion, blue lion

I have green, black, and finally my blue:) Not actively hunting it, but if I saw a red or bronze I wouldn't turn my nose up at them;)

I was after blue, desperately, achingly needing my blue! However green arrived first, then black. Didn't know how many more opportunities I might have so tamed them:)

If I see a Madexx that is NOT red or bronze I already have a list of hunters to contact:) If they aren't on/available/interested I'd offer it to the first hunter in my /who list.

Personally I'm tickled pink to have been able to not only get 3 Madexx's, but to also have been able to help some other hunters get one for themself. My enjoyment has always been the rares of the game, so give me more stable slots and bring on some new rares:)

Would you like to see more rare spawns that have different and seperate colour spawns? yes i think it was a wonderful idea blizz did with madexx having the chance to be 1 of 5 colors, makes it more interesting and i really do hope they add more pets like this.

I tried to be happy with just black. But ... rainbow Madexx called to me! And so it went.

A bit ambivalent. I shouldn't feel guilty - but I do in a way. Perhaps greedy. Though it is fun to have multiple colors.

Dear Raptor Jesus in heaven, no. This has been a long and sometimes heartbreaking quest. It's tough enough to snag a rare without praying the RNG is kind too.

I wish they'd put rares in less trafficked areas. It's painful to imagine missing a pet because you were .001 seconds too late and it really does bring out all the trolls. Not to mention bots and clueless people who have 'rare=MUST STOMP' ingrained into them.

I honestly can't bring myself to camp a Cataclysm rare right now. Maybe later, but for now I'm content.

I tend to just take what opportunities present themselves when it comes to pets. Arcturis wasn't high on my list of spirit beasts I wanted, but when I was doing the Grizzled Veteran achievement on a whim and a priest leveling through the area announced that she had spawned, I abandoned a pet on the spot since I knew that 4.0.1 was around the corner at the time and tamed her. Similar deal when a friend and I ran Deadmines during 4.0.1 because she wanted a particular parrot. I've always wanted to tame Miniwing, but as luck would have it, the Albino Eyegouger was fluttering around. I went ahead and tamed the bird (with her permission, of course), and named it Aurum after observing the bonds of gold feathers in the parrot.

How do you feel bout owning multiple Madexx colours?
Well, I have two answers. Personally, I wouldn't bother, since I already have a full stable. I try to avoid having two of a pet family, since I really don't have the room (not entirely successful ).
However, I have no qualms about a hunter owning multiple colors of Madexx. If someone were to ask me what I thought on the spot (that is, they already had Madexx but they had happened upon another Madexx), my reply would be to do what they personally want to do. If they want both skins, I'd tell them to go ahead. If they know that their previous Madexx tame would be eclipsed by the new one since they much prefer that skin, I'd tell them to go ahead and tame the new Madexx and then abandon the old one once their tame was safely completed. If they felt that their new Madexx would be eclipsed by the old one, I'd encourage them to do a /who search and start sending random tells to hunters; just don't tip off griefers by announcing Madexx on a zonewide channel.

If I were willing to create room for Madexx, and knew that I would actually use that particular color of Madexx, then absolutely. Right now, I'd probably find another hunter if I ran across Madexx.

While Madexx does encourage hunters to retame the rare if they prefer another color and thus slows the inevitable decay in demand as people tame the rare, I actually would strongly favor it. This is because it would actually serve to reduce conflict between competing campers. Person A wants a green Madexx, and Person B a blue one. If both were of the same faction and on the same realm, and figure out that both are camping Madexx, they can come up with a mutual agreement that doesn't involve one giving up the camp for the time being. If Person A finds a blue Madexx, she'll send Person B a tell and an invite, then tag and chain trap Madexx once Person B accepts the invite. Person B is to do the same if she finds a green Madexx. If either one happens upon a Madexx skin other than blue or green, then it's fair game and whoever tags it gets to tame it. Since Person A is desperate to tame the green Madexx, she would probably be willing to set up an agreement with another hunter where they alert her to green spawns and she in turn alerts then to any spawns that aren't green.

Madexx (the wild version) ought to be the size of a normal scorpid, so as to be less likely to be a target of opportunity. A hunter that happens upon Madexx and likes the skin will notice how cool Madexx regardless of size (well, nothing the size of those tiny critters in Uldum!), but someone who happens upon Madexx will be less likely to kill Madexx since the scorpid doesn't appear to be a giant trophy of some sort. I know that if I see a giant NPC wandering around, I try to kill it. After all, aren't towering giants and behemoths hard to kill in WoW? Anyone who's leveled through Hellfire Peninsula knows this - you don't mess with something a gazillion times bigger than you unless you really like corpse runs or are bombing it from the safety of a gryphon.
