Bah sorry, I didn't read your post properly, I just kinda skimmed them before posting since I saw people talking about transformation by moonlight.
It's okay. :) I've done that too. Personally to me the lack of moonlight transformation and tails is really the only difference but even in werewolf lore, not every werewolf has the moonlight transformation. Some do it by will.

I like that they don't have tails. It makes them seem less generic and boring to me.

You know what always bugged me? Female pandas can have optional tails but males can't. While this doesn't directly affect me, why do that?

NOW THAT WAS REALLY SILLY.

The red pandaren females get tails, but the red pandaren males do not. It was asked, and a blue's very vague, very irrelevant answer was: "Because we don't want to have the worgen fiasco again, where player complaints make us double-take the model and make it worse."

.. What did that have to do with anything? I stick by it. Red pandaren males should have tails.

Yeah that was a odd choice. I mean I guess you could argue genetics and stuff but it's a odd choice. Why even have red panda males then? :/

I'll agree on that too. Who says a man doesn't enjoy having a fluffy tail too? It was very strange that it was female only.

I remember them saying that they wanted it to be a girl thing specifically for... I don't know. Maybe they thought it looked goofy with the much larger male model?

So make the tails look slightly different? The females could've got longer tails. The males could've had shorter, more stumpy tails to suit them better. But they had nothing at all and it really made no sense. I mean, it differed for the draenei, the females have short tails while the males have long ones, and I know we've had this discussion already about how the female's tails should be longer anyway, but that's how it is and I don't see why they didn't do that for pandaren too.

Yeah, I got nothin', myself. I do remember them saying really specifically that they liked it being girls only and there was some kind of arm-wavy rationalization as to why that's how it was, but I honestly can't remember the details.

Totally agree. Sango and Junrei have long fluffy tails in my rp. x3 Sango adores her tail too.

Hey i know im late but been busy Snowy i seen the pic the only difference i see is that the alpha females had a lot more colors and less eyelashes,
now that ive seen it i believe after looking at the current males and the current females that the males should be changed slightly to resemble the females. they arent dks(well not all of em) so why give males glowing eyes when females dont have em at all, if they were gonna go with realistic eyes why not do the same thing with males and so i agree facial expressions are missing and changing the eyes back to alpha would fix that. they should either revamp both male and female faces for worgen or give the females the old faces and tbh id prefer the revamp, also btw hwo thinks it would be alot better to have eyes and face options seperate?(including eyes for Blood elves as well as blue eyes to resemble High Elves) unless you think that would cause too many problems?

People are pushing for both genders to have glowing eyes because (like taillessness) worgen have always had glowing eyes in WoW.

Here's the old vanilla/origin model.

Also, because I found this while rummaging...
WORGEN SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS AND BE THIS BADASS. That is all. (sorry it's huge, I couldn't find a smaller one.)

Yes omg that is one of my favourite pieces of worgen artwork ever. It's so badass. Why is nothing in game ever as badass as it's artwork? >.<

I'm really late to the party, but these new models look amazing - all of them. I do agree that the male tauren look a bit too cuddly for my taste, but I also realize that this is far from all of the available options. From a strictly model/texture point of view, it's much much better. I also love the body hair on the male dwarves!

And I know some people like the current female worgen, but I've always hated them. The alpha ones were unpolished, but I felt they were much closer to what a worgen should be. And they were closer to their male counterparts. I personally didn't like the hairstyles they had in alpha, they looked like a wolf wearing a wig. I think they did a better job with the new hairstyles, like they're an extension of their manes. So yeah, love the hair, hate the faces. HAAAAAATE! The body is a bit off too, but that's a small matter compared to their god-awful faces. *shudder*

If female trolls end up looking anything like that ToT (is that correct? haven't played WoW in forever) model, I would be ecstatic. She looked much more tribal and...I dunno...more like a troll should be. I personally wish they still hunched like they did in alpha, though. I'm not sure why the males hunch, while the females are as straight as a board and run like they have a rod shoved up their bungholes.

I was one of those who have said that they'd probably never (I try to never say "never") return to WoW, but if it's true that they want to return more to their roots and to Warcraft 1 & 2, and with these new models.....dang, I might just have to come back for a while. Of course I still have my complaints that you out-level zones too quickly and you level too fast and the talent system feels weird (for a player who's been playing since Vanilla).....but I won't go there in this thread. :)

Overall, I think this expansion sounds like it's heading in the right direction, so I'm interested. That's much more than I could say for MoP.
