Life leads to death

Posting again and quoting this as I remembered a turtle my dad and I saved. Amongst many turtles this one was unique, instead of being a red eared turtle, it was a soft shelled, one of the ones with the long snake necks. Mean as hellfire on a skillet, even bit me to boot. I thought it was naturally colored what it was, but upon further investigation I have now realized, it was Albino.zedxrgal wrote:If you really want to get down to it, by reptile standards it's an albino. White skin, red or pink eyes. Even albino reptiles have colors other then white. True albino lack dark pigment. But shades of white, cream yellow and orange are represented and even some blue. The eye color is the true give away. Only true albinos have red/pink eyes.
And yes there is such a thing is reptiles as a lavender and purple albino.![]()
Lavender albino
(not my snake or my photo)
I've seen snakes and lizards with darker then that.

Gorgeous cat but nothing to abnormal as a lot of white to normal breedings produce varying shades. Really it depends on how strong the genes for the color mutation is.Lazuly wrote:If you cross a White Tiger with an orange tiger, you get Cinnamon/Golden Tabby Tigers:
