Really wish I could roll up with the Fungal Fen striders, but alas. SV
Maybe they'll make the fungal thing a talent like the undead book.

You have to rinse and repeat if it dies, I once brought a stone hound to a hard delve, and it was a really bad idea.DannyGreen wrote: ↑Sat Aug 23, 2025 2:43 pmDoes it stay summoned or if it dies do I have to repeat that.worgpower wrote: ↑Thu Aug 21, 2025 11:25 pmRight now you can use water striders as SV hunter, but it’s annoying to summon it. While Scalehides are usually reptilian (and this isn't), it wouldn't surprise me too much if they were placed there, since Carapids now includes creatures as unrelated and different as snails and arthropods (wonder if we can finally get those separated for Midnight
I wonder if they've added a long tongue animation. I'll be a little disappointed if they don't!

Re: Midnight Alpha/Beta Thread
with pet families being back it really doesn't matter as long as they aren't exotic... They're going to be clefthooves or something now kek.
As for the Aberration thing. I think it would be easier to do the talbuk meat thing. And use some sort of engineer item to Bind them to the mortal realm, making them a beast.
Otherwise we'd have to go around using tame beast on every aberration to find a funny glitch pet. though I would like a voidhound on my Hunter. they're so cute!

Been lurking here (and on the old site) ever since we could tame Slimes and Ghost Hydras in WOWLK and Blizzard should probably give Wain a cut for how often this site and the forum brought me back to the game.
Just wanted to let everyone know that the effort you people put it finding amazing tames during alphas, betas and pre release footage is very much appreciated and extremly helpfull, as are the quick taming guides on the pet pages themselves.

Sorry, I've been slow to reply here. I was bogged down getting all the mounts added for 11.2.5. At least I'm up-to-date with those now - until the next build.

Alpha in 8-9 days now. And a load of Brewfest stuff to get. And Remix coming soon after. Midnight takes priority for me, and I'll have to see how much of the rest I will have to let go.

Castle Nathria:
- Margore, Bargast, and Hecutis are armored gargons encountered during the Huntsman Altimor encounter, arriving one at a time until the prior one is defeated.
- Shade of Bargast is a spectral armored gargon encountered during the Huntsman Altimor encounter, appearing as a periodic threat when Bargast is alive.
Sepulcher of the First Ones
- Skolex is a devourer worm encountered as a boss early on in the raid. It is a burrowing worm, which unfortunately has a bad history of being unjustly untameable except in rare glitches. Still listed just in case our lurker has a heart.
Obviously, the last one likely won't be tameable without a Christmas miracle, but we're now due four unique stone hounds. Three are almost guaranteed, with the Shade being a hopeful fourth. There's plenty of precedent for taming illusionary things throughout the game, such as pink elekks, phantasmal mammoths, the four rares from Bastion, Rasthe's soul fragments, and more. Shade of Bargast should absolutely be tameable alongside its more tangible counterparts. For those lucky people who get in to alpha, definitely go keep an eye on them and bug report em daily until they all get flagged!
