Awesome PvP Moments?

So, yesterday I was working on my pet journal. Suddenly, we get spammed with, "Eastvale Logging Camp is under attack!" A few lowbies pipe up about a rogue who is camping them. I give them a multitude of suggestions. Make a Hordie, ask him to go. Deflag. This and that, until finally, I say I'll take a look.

Switch over to Azu, who's in SW, fly out there and flag up and stealth. I'm prowling about when he catches a guard's attention. I bet he was thinking he could get away with it, so I leap out of stealth, pounce stun, rip him apart. He comes back, didn't even heal up fully...Makes friends with another guard, easy kill. I find him a third time, and take him apart, again with a guard's help. I'm in quest greens, so I'm not in real PvP gear, but he was not having an easy time hitting me.

Forth time was my favorite. I was too slow to react, so he saps me. Even with sap advantage, I bear form when it goes off, tear him down to my level, we're evenly matched, low health, I've been stunned...

He's dead. Turns out the cavalry arrived and saved me. We're all excited, and begin our manhunt. Or trollhunt. Me, two hunters, (One has Karoma, one has Terrorpene. XD) and the little pally who asked for help. Two more deaths later on his part and he calls a lock friend. He still goes down easily.

Then, a pally and a hunter show up, and that's our first casualty. I go down, and he spams /laugh, obviously happy to finally get revenge. Which in turn amused me, because he had to get a lot more friends to try and take us down.

The hunter switches to their better geared mage, and we rip them to pieces. Another druid arrives on our team, one hunter leaves. We're blowing them to pieces, and the pally and hunter have enough. They wait out their flag, and we massacre the troll and warlock a few more times. Finally, they give up and those of us Alliance who stayed pulled out different mini-pets, played with fun trinkets, chatted, and over all had a victory celebration.

So yeah, a lot of fun was had yesterday on our part, and I was pretty pleased with myself. So what's your guys awesome PvP moments, be in BG, arena, or World?

I don't PvP anymore, but I used to PvP a lot on my marks hunter, Bluefur. This was wayyy back in the beginning of Burning Crusade.

My moments of glory where my Aimed Shot/Arcane Shot crits. I went to Alterac Valley at level 52-55, and all through those levels I was fighting nearly all 60's. Mostly pallies, because those were the years of the Paladin.

And I loved it.

I'd ride up on my timber wolf, target some random level 60 paladin, and hit Concussive Shot, then Arcane Shot and Aimed Shot. Nearly all of the time they tried to keep running, and nearly all of the time they died. If they turned towards me... they died. I tore people to shreds in my MM spec, even at low level.

Never enjoyed PvP as much as I enjoyed it then...

I have a billion, as I love PvP--world PvP especially.

Favorite Arena moment? Season 3 or 4, subtlety rogue/subtlety rogue vs healer/subtlety rogue (iirc) on the BEM bridge. My partner, also a rogue, is fighting their healer on the bridge, while their rogue is sticking to me like glue. I turn, slowly run (crip poison applied on me) to the edge, and leap off; the rogue follows. AS he jumps, I shadowstep back up behind him and go for his healer, dropping his LoS on me so he can't ShS back up behind me. In other words--I jump, he follows as I ShS back up behind him, he has to slowly run entirely around while two rogues beat on his healer. Good times.

One of my most memorable Logging Camp memories was back when Ret was completely overpowered. I was levelling mine--she was 76 or so, and in quest greens & blues. A level 80 warlock turned up flagged fresh from logging camp PvP and started tagging my quest mobs. Without hesitation, I turned around and unloaded on him--and completely destroyed him On the same ret, a friend (on his lvl 75 ret too) and I took down a t9 (that was top raid tier at the time) boomkin who kept attacking crossroads--repeatedly. Yeah, the lock/druid were both terrible, but there's something pure awesome about controlling a far better-geared (and levelled!) player to death through skilled use of your (even OP) class. (Incidentally, I never played her again--it was just far too strong )

The rogue friend of mine from the first story, who I don't really talk to anymore (personal fallout) and I had some great PvP moments in TBC, too--like the time I on my resto sham and him on his rogue held no less than nine alliance players off of Grom'Gol. Or the time I, on the same sham, around level 60 at TBC release, was fleeing from a good 5-6 alliance chars in the Barrens, and when I ran behind a mountain to heal up, they pursued. Literally out of nowhere this friend unstealths and destroys every one of them. He just happened to be stealthing around some mountain near XR, apparently, when I ran to take cover! I was as surprised as they were, only more pleasantly so.

My most fun PvP times by far were on my fire mage in WotLK. He made Challenger in 3s, albeit with TERRIBLE rating (we're on a hideously bad battlegroup), so there's the proof that he's all I pvp'd with. Fire was massively fun, with only decent damage and extremely weak survivability. But I knew how to play it, and more than once would 1v3 confused and bad melee chars who underestimated Blast Wave and Living Bomb One of my absolute favorite PvP moments ever? I fought 3 melee repeatedly in XR. I killed 2, then died, then ressed and was fighting them again. A friend, a warrior, turned up at the last second and basically saved my ass; the allies kept ressing on me and I was oom. They died repeatedly, then left; soon afterward, Bloodhoof Village came under attack. The favorite moment?

I arrived, and they remembered me from XR. As I attacked them, kiting them all, and as I killed the first, the second ran around to one side. I killed the third to arrive, only to notice that the second was running off over the horizon with my Mirror Images close behind! It's on one of my (bad) PvP vids somewhere, with text pointing to the distant, fleeing enemy: "<--- WTF?"

Of course, back when Blast Wave dismounted people, a Blast Wave + Slowfall was the bane of many a Wintergrasp Quartermaster-camper! And up until Shattering, my Blast Wave knockback wiped several Thunder Bluff raids

On my hunter, I love any Arena match where one player LoS's me within Kill Shot range, begins to heal or bandage while I slowwwwwly run around the damn pillar, and then Kill Command comes off cooldown (or the pet gets in range). Any killing blow scored on someone out of LoS using Kill Command is a WIN moment in my book.

Of course, there's the bad moments too: Scatter Shotting a Water Elemental by accident, focusing the Holy Paladin and not realizing that your Freezing Trap on his LoSd BM hunter got resisted (and thus losing to a terrible mirror team), having your rogue partner (diff rogue, in WotLK) open on a felhunter and continue until he himself has died, without realizing it wasn't the warlock (or when the rogue accidentally hits the wrong keybind and opens with Evasion), or probably my biggest mistake...

Had a fire mage, and I was standing waiting for a group to arrive in blood furnace, this other horde guy lands. So I ask him Hey you wanna duel :3 and he agrees I run around pretending hes beating me I get near a ledge, he follows, BLAST WAVE and he goes flying off and crashes into the ground. He immediately started cussing me out saying he was going to get a GM and make me pay for his repair bills.

I hate it when people do that SO mean. ...That said >.> it does remind me of a time me and a few guildmates killed someone on our faction, though. Some griefer being a total goon, insulting everyone, a real jerk--you know the type. One of my guildmates relogged to an Alliance char and turned up, and of course this guy attacks him (thinking he's amazing). The Alliance alt proceeds to mind-control him, and we all pile in and destroy his face.

The best part was linking Recount in /1 afterward. "Damage Done to <Name>" etc

Edit--Also reminds me how much I enjoy "false PvP." Chasing down a flagged lowbie on your priest only to MC and buff them and ride away--or on this char, just trap them, wave hello and run off Always "WTF" moments for them, I bet. (Or riding around Stormwind just throwing pumpkins onto peoples' heads...)

For me the last of my rep to get exalted with all BG's is AB. But I am <3ing that place sooo much.

I would have to say now that I am an engineer, the joys of chasing a runner down from the LM, to do a perfect 180* jump+disengage,+parachute cloak. Then be soaring above them, over and above their heads. All the while concussing, trap launching and raining death from above as they try to escape but have no idea where the @#$% you are. You come to a graceful land and then BAM!!.. kill shot in the face and it's all over. I stroll over and loot their insignia, and think to myself, god dam that was some hot S#$% and that poor bugger didn't even see it.... /camo

So here I am, on Firewing, gather marks for something or another. This tauren hunter is tearing me up, Bayne, my Krush is occupied with something else, so on a whim, I feign death.

AND THE HUNTER LEAVES ME ALONE. He switches to a new target, and I hop back up, pop BW, and blow him to bits.

That was the same BG I saw a pally so desperate to live, he bubble hearthed, right out from under me. I was all, "Lol. Bubblehearth."

One of my fav. PvP movies was, when I used to play Holy Paly on a double healer warrior team. We got against a 3 dps of warlock, warrior and ret paly at about 2k rating. We killed the lock, but dots and combined damage killed our warrior, so its 2 healers against warrior and ret paly. So we try to kill the warrior, but my shaman buddy dies. The opposing warrior is low health so they reset. I try to rezz and they come back after me.

I luckily kill the warrior with an around the corner hammer of righteousness and go 1on1 with the ret paly. Nearly dying a couple of times but finally killing him in what seems an hour. Winning this as a healer was something special. My teammates had given up on me and were actually cursing at me for staying in there and battling it out

My favorite was when I played Alliance, and my husband who I had DRAGGED into Arathi Basin with me (he hates PVP), was on his mage, and I was on my paladin. An Undead mage came up to try to take Lumber Mill with a couple of people. My husband and I chased all of them off, except for this mage, who, at half health, cast slowfall on himself as he jumped off the side. I threw my Hammer of Justice stun on him, and my husband cast spellsteal - successfully stealing the Mage's slowfall, and since he was stunned, he plummeted to his death.

I was laughing so hard I don't think I did much for the rest of that BG. Hahaha!

Okay my awesome PvP moment happened on my DK and it was back when you had to get like 30 tokens from Warsong, Arathi, etc. So I go into Warsong and I'm feeling great...and not to mention and cutting out about 5 ally at one time (this was also back when DKs were OPed to the max) and all the sudden I get the achievement Frenzied Defender - the one where you return 5 flags in one game - and I think, "well? Why stop there?" I push it further and further, and again this is back in the day (when Warsong used to last like 2 hours) and I'm beating back the ally and grabbing every flag back but not capping. I could have swore they were *aiming* for me, mages, warlocks, feral druids, hunters, and even other DKs with almost twice as much health couldn't stop me from capping about (as counted by some random guy at the end) 15 flags in all.

That is my awesome PvP moment, returning 15 warsong flags and having practically every ally on my butt in one consecutive BG. xD No offense to any Alliancemen.

The number of times I see Mages or Priests try and do this and as soon as I see them, I pump as many Tranquilizing Shots into them as I can. Most of the time and with a bit of luck, you can Tranquilizing Shot their slow fall/levitate off them....

I had this lock chase me around wintergrasp (I miss that place) and of course I had eng but he didn't know this. So I flew up above him and then dismounted and used my chute then started shooting him as I slow feel down. I didn't quite kill him right away either. So buddy got cocky and sat down and eat just outside my normal range while waiting for me to come down. However he didn't realize my Kill shot had a longer range. When I noticed he was in kill shot range I didn't even think twice. I hit kill shot and well..he died and I laughed @ him and call him a dumbass.

Behold! my massive wall of text!
#1. I got into pvp after hitting lvl 70 and planned on ruling hellfire. Right off the bat a 65 pally started ganking me. It drove me NUTS. After a few days I got so sick of it that I vowed revenge on him and spent weeks looking into gear, pets, specs, enchants… and then one day I saw him, flagged. We had an epic battle and in the end I only had 2k health left. But I had won. After I had my revenge though I hopped on horde and told him “good fight” and now we are friends and he wants to do arena with me =) I have to thank him, I never would have had the drive to learn how to pvp if it wasn’t for him xD

#2. I was dueling my friend in a starting zone and I won the duel. Just as a won, he somehow managed to aggro a lvl 1 that against all odds, hit him for 1 dmg… he died.
#3 In a duel with the same person on hellfire citadel, he jumped off the wall and tried to death grip me on the way down. It didn’t work and he spent a good 20 min trying to find his body.

#4. I loved to kill the 80+ at honor hold back when we didn’t have lvl 85 guards. I would just pick a rooftop/wall to shoot from and I would just chip away at them until they died. >.>

#5.My fave 2v2 arena story was when it all boiled down to me vs a rouge. We both died at the exact same time. I cant remember the exact results but I think both teams lost and gained some points o.O and I know for sure that both me and the rouge had 2 killing blows recorded xD

#6 And my number one fave:
I was hanging out in hellfire when a 64 troll hunter swoops in to take the towers. I try to be friendly, but he starts shooting at me. Then a 65 boomkin fly’s in and starts attacking me too and they are soon joined by a 75 DK and it becomes an all out war that I keep losing. In the end we all end up on top of the citadel. I try to kill the hunter and he goes down fast. I run towards the dungeon portal but the DK grabs me and just about makes me run off the bridge and fall to my death.
Brewfest had just ended and I had one of those mugs on hand that give you slowfall. I also had the brewfest stein and I had gotten the two mixed up on my hotbar and had somehow managed to equip my mug when trying to use slowfal in a past fight. The druid pushed me over the edge and /lols thinking im going to fall to my death. I didn’t know why slowfall wasn’t working and am freaking out. I lucked out and landed on the very edge of a lil platform down below me. Still the fall damage took a chunk out of my health and I still got a druid and a dk after me. I shoot down the druid but not before my pet was killed. Now its just me and the DK, who took some fall damage. I drink a health pot and now we are almost even in health. Almost. I end up kiting him back and fourth in the small space, trying to get him out of my dead zone as our health slowly inches closer to zero. Whoever throws the next punch will win the fight. But my spells are all on cd. He runs towards me, im prepared for the end, there is nothing left I can do! I run forward and smash his face in with my mug- and he dies.
It took me a moment to realize what had happened. It wasn’t until then that I looked at my gear and realized I had been fighting with a mug equipped during the whole fight. By the time they where all alive again was unflaged and at full health. The dk and the druid had taken rez sickness bc they couldn’t fine their bodies. They knew I had won.

My best PvP moment actually came the day after it happened. I was in an AB, determined to break my 10 and 0 record with at least a 14 and 0. (That's killing blows to deaths for those of you who don't know. XD) I had come across a Nelf Hunter several times through this BG. I ended up duking it out with him most of the time and most of my KBs came from him too. I swear he was out for my blood and he did actually break my no death record by catching me at 30%. I stomped him for the rest of BG for that. >>; (Also, this was during BC.) I finished with 13 and 1 on the charts... But I did come in second for damage! =D

Anyways, the next day I sent in a ticket for a bugged daily quest out in Quel'Danas. I of course got an answer and the GM told me he recognized me. I didn't remember his name... Until he told me about being stomped by a Blood Elf Hunter several times in a Arathi Basin the other day. It then dawned one me.

That Night Elf I roflstomped... Was an off-duty GM. He did solve the problem with the daily quest though. XD I thought that was kinda awesome.

My favorite was running across a warrior in Tol Barad. My trusty brain bug silithid promptly webbed him...while I pounded away. then i hit Big Red Silithid...and kill command.....and then intimidation......pounded away with Arcane....then as intimidation wore off, used Concussive shot.......kill Command.....Arcane........kill shot.....and he was dead. Never even reached me.

Last night in arena 2v2 it was me and my friend we're both hunters vs Holy Pally and Warrior, We start hitting the holy pally, he bubbles, my friend goes down from the warriors incessant wailing on him. Healers cool downs are all blown, and they're both at full HP I pop beastial wrath kill command arcane interrupt a heal with scatter shot then Kill shot and take out the healer. Now it was just me and the warrior, me at 50k out of 123k hp and him at full. Pet hits spirit mend on me (awesome). And I trap and run away from the warrior but never letting my pet off him. He makes the mistake of getting away and trying to solo my pet, while I call my pet back to me which by then has another spirit mend ready so I'm up to a healthy 80k and he's down to 60k. Kited him all around the Dalaran Sewers with imp traps and everything till he was finally beaten without ever touching me again. I really really love my spirit beast @_@.
