Language Quests
Mostly inspired by walking around Undercity. Those guys never talk in Orcish if they can help it. I wanna know what they're saying!

Re: Language Quests
I can't see why they'd want to stop, say, a tauren from learning Thalassian though...or a troll learning gutterspeak.

Re: Language Quests
I know my hunter Silinrul story-wise has a lot of interaction with dwarves, and even has a home-away-from-home in Ironforge. It'd make sense that she is able to speak at least some of their language because she works with them so often. I pretend she does if I'm semi-rping, but still...

Re: Language Quests
Like that still doesn't happen with human/nelf rogues running around XR screaming with a macro 'M E L O V E Y O U'? And in AV.VelkynKarma wrote:I know undead used to speak common, but they removed it due to language abuse.
And in Bloodhoof.
And in WSG.
To be honest I like the fact that you can't understand another language, as I've used/abused it for speech in some chapters of a story that's on hiatus.
Now if it was for other races...
>_>
I want to speak Dragon nao plz.

Not to mention all the people who THINK they can speak
cross-faction with the /e command. I tell them that it's useless, but "no it works u just dont know how".
I also exist on DeviantArt.

Re: Language Quests
That's probably the one I'm thinking of. I couldn't remember which language it was exactly, but Draconian is ringing bells. LOLSaturo wrote:Well, there was also a quest, Draconian for dummies, that they made award he language Draconian, but that too was removed.
