Hey all I'm new to the forums and I've been seeing some really great banners... How do you guys make those?

I used GIMP for editing, which you can find here: http://www.gimp.org/
and wowmodelviewer for images which you can find here: http://www.wowmodelviewer.org/forum/index.php

It's not always up to date, but it has the majority of whatever you might want in there! Hopefully that helps you some.

You don't download WMV from wowmodelviewer.org anymore--it's not kept updated there. If you want the fully updated one (which I recommend), you want to go here: http://code.google.com/p/wowmodelviewer/downloads/list

I'm using the dev work version there; even though it says 32bit it will work on 64bit systems just fine.

I use a combination of Photoshop and WMV to make things like my sig.

Also, to make my characters and models look great no matter big or small, I rely on this tutorial for MMO-C (Note: I only use the tutorial for the character/creature models, I don't use it for any of the background stuff and what not): http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/733 ... ost8323649
