I has a new fish! (big, crappy pics!)

BF and I went to the store today because I needed some reed diffuser stuff to make my room smell pretty. We walked past the fish [like always] and BOOM! BRIGHT ORANGE FISH! He looked really sad and wasn't in some flaring contest like the other guys. There were 2 others I was looking at but I rearranged the fish [they "organize" them so that fish are behind each other so you can't see them all] and all of a sudden he goes "OMGWTF GTFO MY HOUSE!" at the guy next to him. Anyway, I brought him home with me as Spaz's tank was disinfected and just sitting there. He's still going through the "Whoa. I has space for swimz!!1!11!" phase so I didn't want to freak him out with my camera flash. He still needs a name, though. I was thinking Lt. Dan because I looked at him and was like "You ain't got no legs Lt. Dan!" but it's still liable to change.

He is BRIGHT orange. Srsly. These pictures don't show how pretty he is. I hope to get some decent quality ones later.

Yeah fighting fish are cool. Too bad you can't have more than one in a tank I'd love a school of them it would be so pretty!

Maybe something orange like? Ginger? fanta?

Thanks, guys!! I'm still waiting for his personality to come out. I went in to take a picture and he scared the CRAP out of me. I couldn't find him! I knew there was no way he'd gotten out [firmly secured lid on his tank] and I'm freaking out, wondering where he went! I ended up moving ALL the plants around and found him hugging the outside wall of his cave -__-;; Poor guy is just terrified... Although, he's not so terrified that he won't eat some fishy food when dropped in front of him.

Terrified fish is terrified. .___. I was able to take these without the flash on, no noise, etc. I turned out the lights in my room and put a blanket over him, just in case the lights from outside get to him. Poor little man. He's hiding behind the filter a lot, and that worries me for some reason. I guess I'm just not used to new fish being so scared! Valenti and Spaz were a little nervous but once they realized that I give the food, they would "dance" and get all excited, expecting noms! Hopefully this guy realizes this soon! I'm just glad I put so many plants in there with him. LOTS of places to hide and rest. I'm leaving him alone until it's feeding time tomorrow night. Cross your fingers that he starts feeling more confident!
