Woohoo! Terrorpene mine!

After having an amazing streak of luck with rares this week, I decided to take a look around for terrorpene.
I found him today and the LOLZ ensued.
Usually I do my homework with pets but after camping the spirit beasts for the past month, I have been slacking off on research.
Ok soooo... I find terrorpene just walking around looking lonely and acting like he needs a home... I release my faithful companion coconut (aka loque'nahak), and drop an ice trap (don't laugh, like I said, I did no research, I deserved what I got next!).. yeah.. he fried me XD
OK so I run back, grab my body and frantically start googling for tips on this guy.
I quickly hearth to the auction house after scanning a few posts.
Something about core hounds and elixirs and potions and haste + fire resist gear.
Basically I just grabbed whatever I could find and wound up with: strong trolls blood elixir (I have no real idea why I grabbed this), poached northern sculpin, and mighty fire protection potions.
I read something about using the core hound ancient hysteria.
I grabbed my core hound and went back and found the turtle still walking around.
(I'm pretty sure I saw him smirking at me)
I eat my food.. pop the core hound AH.. pop the fire protection potion.. start the tame..*almost* got the tame off.. I died *right* before the bar was finished channeling.
OK.. this WILL work.. it HAS to work.. I don't have time run back to the AH and look for more stuff!
This time I: eat the food.. drink the elixir.. drink the potion.. pop AH..use deterrence... dismiss the hound.. start the tame... aaannnddddd... right as it said "low health"... I owned a turtle!
I was hanging on by a sliver of life, but he is MINE!
I'm level 82, by the way, and I don't recommend this method unless your a glutton for punishment XD

Oh yes, I learned my lesson to not get lazy on research!
It makes for a good little giggle though, and a memorable tame, so I'm happy to laugh at my noobness
I named her Kajitara.
I picked up Rex Ashil (named it Darkstorm) today too, so another good day

Congrats. I also managed to get terrorpene today and later on in the day, a friend of mine got him as well. Must be lucky fiery turtle of doom finding day.

I found...having a haste elixer,magical resitance potion, haste food, deterrence, and a poppable emergency haste pot worked for me. I had nothing extra like a corehound or MoTW and I pulled it off at 83 I think...with like half health left.

Congrats on the tame! I adore him so much my beloved croc hasnt had much love since.
