Almost....

I recently converted to a BM hunter and have found the pleasure in aquiring rare pets for my stables. Of the exotics that I wanted to try was a devilsaur, so I went to Un'Goro Crater and got me a black one to try out. Needless to say, I really like him but I wanted to have a rare. I decided to try and get King Mosh as I liked the Red ones, the best. I thought it would be challenging to try and solo it. I get NPCScan set up to detect the king. Started working on the macros to speed up all the casting that I wanted to do. Beastial wrath, abandon pet, tame beast. Back and forth I would go in the crater testing out my macro. I know I still need to get my haste up as my casting time is way to long. this was going to be the next thing to work on once I had the macros to my liking. Low and behold though as I'm going around the crater looking for Devilsaurs to test my macro, NPCScan goes off, and their he is right before me. I have no haste on me at all, but decide to try.... Hah... Beastial Wrath worked well with the first fear that he cast, but my tame beast is too long and he sends me scampering away, stomping me as I flee with a smile on his face. I realize that it is not going to work and feign death to heal my wounds and my pride. .

Off I race now to see what haste I can get from the AH. 5 Potion of speed and 1elixer of ?? (increase haste by 45 for 1 hour) is all I can get. I want to get the potion set up in the macro so all that is done as quick as possible so I put it in the tame portion of my macro.

Back I go wondering if he is still there. After several minute of racing back, I find that he is still walking the ground looking to something to pick on. I had lost my last pet in the attempt, so I quickly go get a new temp and try it out again. I send my pet out after the king to have the aggro set to him. After a few seconds I call him back and when he is at my side taking the pounding, I run the macro, kicking off BW, releasing my pet, drinking the potion.... But wait, tame beast does not go off. Crap... precious seconds go off as I get tame beast started, but too late. Fear beats me to the punch and away I go. Feign death again and off to get a new temp pet. Change now in my plan to put tame beast right next to current macros and try again. I come across another devilsaur and tame him for my temp. I go back... and Mosh is still there mocking me to try. So now, I drink the elixer, send my pet... bring him back to me and start all the macros. Everything falls in place and I see that my tame drops to 15 seconds. BW is on when the king sends his fear at me so I'm ok. I watch the timer go down. 5...4...3...2...1...0 I was so excited, I was going to get Mosh when wham.... fear.... at the count of zero... I miss the tame.. So close that time but no go.

I tried a couple more times, but none came as close as that one. I gave up once I used all the potions. I will say I loved the excitement of trying and will be back to tame him again.

You'll get him! He's a tough tame, but that just makes him all the more desirable. Imagine when you finally have him as a friend...

Oof! That's a heartbreaker, when you're down to 0. These King devilsaurs sure know how to crush our hopes and dreams (and bones), don't they!? You'll get him, sounds like you know what to do!

I suggest trying the below macro:

#showtooltip Tame Beast
/cast Bestial Wrath
/script PetAbandon()
/use 13
/use Potion of Speed
/cast !Tame Beast

The /use 13 is assuming you have a haste-on-use trinket equipped, and you may have to push the macro twice for the Tame Beast spell to actually work. This helped me out a lot, since I didn't have to manually do everything. Just pop-pop, done.

I will try this macro.. I had something wrong with my macro where I could not get tame beast to follow the use of the potion of speed. I also could not get anything to work after the pet abandon so I basically had 3 scripts to run. I will test this new one out. thanks

Woohoo... I now have the King. It took 4 attempts to tame him. It was pure luck that I got him. Always close, down to the last 1 to 0 seconds then bam... fear.

On the last one though, I was so damn lucky. He did hit again with fear when the count was down to 2, but I did not flee. It missed me and I could finish the tame.

So now my stable collection is complete and Pyre will be by my side for some time.

Alriiiiight!!!! Congrats on your King tame! Glad that the macro worked out; and hey, tames like this sometimes need a little bit of luck, nothing wrong with that. (P. Dawg knows there was luck involved in my King tame, hehe).

I like his name too!
