Petopians and Chromaggus (got him, posted a pic)

Unread post by Ceravan »

I've no doubt that there are quite a few hunters in guild that may want the beauty that is known as Chromaggus, so I'm proposing we start doing guild runs to get him for those that want him. My proposition is once a week (or twice if it's a 3day reset) We gather people to do BWL and go for chromaggus, and at least one of the runs finish it so we can get the BWL achievement. When we go there, the hunters that want chromaggus /roll for the tame per run til everyone gets one, only way i can think of it as being fair. BWL for most part is fairly easy to learn, and all the fights can be pet tanked as i did most of it on my nelf for chromaggus on him, however, it would be nice if we have anyone experienced in doing BWL to help with the first couple of runs so some of us can learn the fights/raid better.

Post here and tell me what you think, enough victimteers and we can start going for it soon.

I am willing to help guildies get Chromaggus, so sign me up.
Of course when the runs happen will determine if I can go.

Have they fixed BWL, or will you still need a GM to "fix" Razorscale for you? I could never time being on with my BWL buddy when the GMs answered my ticket, hence why I still don't have vonKarma :(

(Bug in question: in 4.0.6, Razorscale will evade bug at the end of an orb channel, and cannot be re-MCed. Since he's not being re-MCed, he cheers about being FREEEEEEEeeeeeee and insta-kills everything in his room, including himself, you, and the mobs. It doesn't happen on every channel's end, but it does happen enough that the likelihood of getting enough non-evaded MCs to kill all the eggs was hilariously low, lol)

Bleh, that bug sounds horrible.

I'd rather not have a weekly thing for this. It would mean a lot of people would go at the same time and be /rolling for the chance, meaning it could very well take a long, LONG time before some people got their Chromies.

If someone in the guild wants to tame him, I suggest they see if they can ask some higher level players to come and help them, and hopefully get enough people to go tame him. :)

The only problem is, at least IMO, is I wanna tame him and all I really have to ask is guildies.... which for most part is all hunters (which want chromie as well) Otherwise, I'd just ask if people be willin to do BWL for me

You're asuming every hunter in the guild wants to tame Chromaggus and hasn't already done so. Let me say this is not the case. :P
And also, I know a decent amount have non-hunter alts that they'd migth eb willing to take along so their hunter doesn't get saved.
A shame my account isn't active atm, or I'd offer to come on my druid.

I've done 3 runs with the guild for tames and its fun. If someone wants a tame they should put it on the calendar and/or help others with their run.

I'm always happy to help on Rumstag, provided I'm on when people are going. I have no intention of taming myself, but am happy to help pew pew so that others may.

Synestra (currently lvl 52) is almost at the point where she can help out with guild runs in BWL.

I'd love to help out any way that I can when I am able. I've actually been wondering how I would go about setting up a run for myself when my time was right ... I believe my current rank within the guild does not allow me to set up runs via calander (I looked but it appeared I wasn't able to). If anyone wants to go for their Chrommie and I am of appropriate lvl, just send me a whisper in-game and I am good to go! I've never ran that part of the instance before so anyone who knows the ins and outs of the place would be a big help.

Well I'm going to speak up... I do want him on Bitka, but did not want to bother others in going for the run. It seems that most everyone that wanted him, had him, so I wasn't going to ask.

Now that it is mentioned. I am more than happy to bring Quill (Pally) along for anyone else that wants him... but would love to run Bitka as well to get him.

Can get past the razorscale problem by not having a pet summoned when you use the orb. We learned that the hard way...

Was a different Razorscale issue (I was having it happen on my shaman, who has no pets), but according to a guildmate they hotfixed it (plus you guys seem to be having no issues), so hooray!

I have Chromaggus on Ikutai, and I'd be happy to bring Steampunk along for the wonders of Bloodlust (and super fast taming, ftw). I'll keep an eye on the calendar, and if it's not *too* early, I'll do it. :)

Well, I *may* be awake by then. Though you might want to give yourself a buffer of 2 hours or so before OS3D, gives you more than enough time to get it done. Better a larger buffer than one that isn't large enough.
