New tamable raid boss?

I was wondering your guys thoughts on this raid boss coming with the fireland

Its obviously a spider and would be an awesome present from any guild to their favorite hunter.... I mean they would have to sacrifice the loot for that week and even then it would be an incredibly difficult tame obviously. So what are your thoughts

Not likely. You simply won't be able to both keep aggro off the healers long enough, and if they stop you'll be dead in a second.

well there could always be the possibility of haste stacking with Deterrence and/or using hand of protection but im not sure you can tame in a bubble so who knows

Let's not forget that raid bosses are typically like +2 to our level or something like that. It is VERY unlikely that a raid boss of this current tier will be tamable.

From the angle of the shot it looks like it uses the Nerubian model and not the spider one.......

ACTUALLY! Raid bosses are all the same level so to say, just their stats vary, Chromaggus is a ?? (Boss), but his Boss status makes our Hit Rating that of a mob 2 levels higher or something, its all math, so i could very well see this spider being a tameable boss, just for fun, even though a simple HoP w/ Haste would make the tame rather boring, but still!

Mmmm i cant disprove that Skeet but i thought that lvl ?? raid (raid bosses, not gonna get into just lvl ??'s in general) bosses were 2-3 levels higher then the max level required for the instance. Chromaggus is from a lvl 60 raid so hes technically in that aspect lower leveled then the hunters taming him since you need a lvl 69 minimum.

I take this from a very very old thread about boss raid levels and someone trying to tame chromaggus at lvl 60 or something, i dont remember the title so i cant link it

?? is 3 levels higher than the player (content) iirc. So once you outlevel the content, if the mob is tameable then you can do it; not until then. If it's a raidboss then yes it'll be ??.

However, it does look freaking awesome o.o

I wonder what ****-tilac means, then? Is it lava-spider language?

I think we should wait to we see more screens of it before getting hyped up as It looks very close to the Nerubian model and not a spider one :/

I cant see any ties to her name to nerubian language specifically but the nerubians (theres no direct profile character page for Aqir or Qiraj) speaks troll (Zandali to be more specific) as one of their secondary languages (WoWpedia refrence) and the entire name for that matter reminds me of trolls and aqir.

Note, what im gonna say here is purely speculation from WoWpedia: The aqir has devolved into the qiraj and silithid that serve more as hive workers that inhabit Ahn'Qiraj while the Aqir in the north devolved into nerubians, having been forced to live in a totally different enviroment that caused a completely different change. I am calling it 'de-evolution' even though its called evolution cause they're technically becoming inferior to what they used to be (speculated to be avatars of C'Thun)

The aqir ARE creations of C'Thun the Old God and were in the likness of elementals before they devolved so perhaps an old god that ragnaros serves(?) did a similar thing?

Yea, i know it looks like ive gone off track but technically im still on it as to its name and model (model is technically gonna be the deciding factor on tameable or not in terms of what other npc's are using the models, humanoids are always a big nono) but my mind has been seriously intrigued from learning the Aqir lore. Im gonna say Blizzard still has trolls on the mind tho
