I first played WoW shortly after Wrath of the Lich King came out, though my tenure didn't last long as I lost my job and could no longer afford to play the game. I came back last October as a practical newbie, having forgotten just about everything, and I have completely fallen in love with the game all over again. I finally was able to continue my dream of creating my beloved blood elf hunter, who is named Constantyne after my dear husband, Constantine (surprise surprise!). Although I don't play on an RP server, I am a writer who thoroughly enjoys making long backstories for each of her characters. I thought maybe some of you could appreciate Constantyne's, as most places I would dare post any of this would just think I was plum nuts!
I don't want to chase off all my potential new friends with every single detail, but Constantyne lost his beloved father when the Lich King razed Silvermoon. His dad, a powerful mage, used the last of his strength to create an escape portal for his son and wife to flee through. Losing his father is what drove Constantyne to begin training, so that he could join battle against the evil forces of the Scourge. Constantyne's lifelong affinity for animals is what drove him to become a hunter.
His first companion was an injured and starving Ghostclaw lynx he found in the ravaged Ghostlands. Unable to bear seeing the Scourge claim another victim, Constantyne took the cat into his care and named him Selama, Thalassian for justice. For a long time, it was just Constantyne and his dear Selama - until Deathwing shattered the earth and the Gilnean gates fell, unleashing worgen into the rest of Azeroth. Constantyne was attacked by -- and quickly fell in love with -- a worgen warrior named Whitnee (whose character was, unsurprisingly, created by my husband!)
With tensions between the Horde and Alliance hotter than ever, their romance is a forbidden one, and Constantyne is separated from his love much more than he would like. One evening, as he and Selama were nestled near a campfire under the stars in Silverpine Forest, a black worg wandered into their camp. Instantly, the wolf reminded Constantyne of his dear Whitnee, and Whitney the worg (my husband's idea, again) became his newest and truest companion.
I'll shut up, now - I already fear I've rambled too much. Thank you for reading and I will leave (and be quiet) with some pictures of our beloved characters
