Anyone else think this would be cool?

All Hunter Pets - Do NOT despawn anymore when you mount, Flying will despawn your pet though.

The above line is happening in PTR, and may (I'm not holding my breath until we get an actual "Confirmed!"..) happen in live in 4.2..

But would anyone else like to see it that if we have a flying pet, such as my lovely Aquila (the decrypt eagle I have), when we mount up on a flying mount.. the flying mounts don't go away.. but instead fly by our side?

I know we've had to ask for five years for our ground mounts to return to our side.. (trust me.. I've been playing for six years.. and been waiting for this moment to return..) but does anyone else think that eventually Blizzard could do this for us.. because there isn't much that our aerial pets could aggro while we're flying..

After the fuss about seagulls and some other birds flying? I'd love to see it, but I wouldn't advise holding your breath.

It would be a really nifty idea, but I do not think such an idea would be implemented for a while.

I'll admit it's the first thing I thought... but I think the coding would be fairly complicated.

It would be super neat, but at the same time I agree that no one should hold their breath. But if mini-pets can fly alongside mounts, maybe our real pets would be next?

Except some people might then want a bird because of that, and wish their other pets could fly with them. Thus the Winged Devilsaur was born.
