Kitties and spiders and....spiders!

Today was pretty interesting for me so I thought i'd share. My sub ran out this morning and I had an issue with blizz taking my paypal so I was out for a few hours unable to camp, but while I was out another person who'd been camping got her Skarr tame so that was cool. When I finally do get to log in I immediately notice a red dot on my map doing crescent moon laps around the furnace so I hover and it's Kirix. I go to check it out, try my shot at it (apparently silencing doesn't work or something? idk he kept getting his stun on me anyway), but lost out in the end to someone else so I headed back to camping Skarr at the northernmost point.

A few hours later while eagle eyeing around the zone I notice Solix is up in the cave. I /who'd and found a hunter who I knew wasn't already camping something and told him it was up, and he went in and got wrecked about 12 times and gave up (I was watching with eagle eye, is it sad if I get amusement out of watching people die? <_<). Around then a friend of mine logs on and i'm telling her about it, so she logs on her hunter and comes to give it a shot. She had to do the dailies in Hyjal first to get inside and while she was doing that a dorf hunter showed up to try his shot at it and learned that you can't tank Solix with your face. It took him a few lessons.

My buddy finally shows up while the dorf is getting his face rearranged, and around that time Skarr finally pops at his southern point. A Drae BM hunter got down there first so I let him have his go and die, then took my turn and got my kitty :3 and then told the drae to change one of his specs to MM w/silencing and try that next time.

What time that's going on, my buddy and the dorf are still running their repair bills up so I go in there to try and help my pal get the spider. With both of us on CS and traps she managed to get a good kite going but unfortunately made the bad decision to kite him out of the cave instead of around the inside, and almost instantly when she exits it every derp that was out there questing jumps on it and pulls aggro so she couldn't tame, and he died to energy loss. It was fun to play around with, though, so it wasn't a huge deal.

After that I hopped to my druid for a while to do some dailies, did a random, and finished my raiding for the night, then hopped back over to my huntard and went cruising around the zone for fun. Something told me to head towards the cave that Solix spawns in even though I don't care about him, and when I enter the area what do I see but Deth'tilac being kited around all the way out there. He's at about 30% at that point and being kited well by the person who had him, but after a while his health didn't budge so I pulled out my good ol' fire turtle and sent him in to take one for the team. Health went down, tards jumped on trying to kill it but didn't manage to do that or even pull aggro off the hunter who had it, and the tame was successful. Turns out once things died down and I could see who it was, it happened to be the belf hunter who had been there for the first Deth spawn when it was killed by the derptard pally in my guild, so that was fantastic. I hopped over to my baby belf warrior to congrats and ask her how much she almost peed her pants while taming, and eventually found out while chatting that she wasn't sure of Skarr's spawn points so I took her out and showed them to her.

All in all a pretty exciting day for pets IMO. Got one myself, saw two others get a new home, and only had to watch one get killed <_< and I got to watch people die horrible deaths with eagle eye cam!

Edit: Oh, and if anyone is wondering I named my Skarr 'Drusy'; Drusy literally means “covered by a large number of minute crystals”. Drusy can really be almost any color but the first one I saw was black (A dyed one, but they can naturally be black too, it's just rare. Drusy: http://www.bernardine.com/gemstones/drusy.htm )

Nope, silencing shot doesn't work on Kirix. He's an unstoppable killing machine.

Grats on a full day of tames! Hopefully the next Solix spawn will be a successful one.
