So, I can't believe it! I'm honestly still a little shaky even now as I type this up, but as you must know by the topic of this thread... I tamed Deth!
Though it wouldn't have been without the help of some awesome hunters!
So, decided to hop on after a few days off due to my Birthday and a new puppy. So, when puppy was sleeping, went on to do some dailies. Finished those in Mount Hyjal, then ported to the Molten Front. I got in and started my dailes when npc scan went off... oddly though there was no alert for who it was. Only the red flashing screen and blaring horns. It took a second, but I noticed about where I was. I was pretty close to the Forlorn Spire...
Could it be....?
Running over there I made it to Deth's spawn, and alas.. no spider. Someone must have tamed.. oh my ... Slowly the form a giant molten spider manifested in front of me, the spider of death. My heart started racing, and my mind seemed to freeze. Deth! And I'm not prepared... no snaring pets or heart of the phoenix on me, just my Trusty Rak'shiri. So, without a second longer, sent the tiger in and shot a frost trap down. The fight was on.
A few times of managing to send in Rak'shir, reviving him, then doing it again and things were looking ok, until I noticed I had pinned myself at the ledge and Death without Rak'shiri and disengage on cooldown... I tried to stun Deth, and run past but she got to me before I made it out of her claws.
Dead..
I flew back so fast, revived and watched as Deth returned to her location and started once more. Then not one second after starting the fight once more did an Orc join in as well as a Troll. Now here was when I started to panic - were they going to try to steal Deth? I tried not to focus on that as Deth began to charge me, then turn toward the three pets on her and make quick due of them, then return back to me. I watched as her heath began to drop lower and lower.. then suddenly I noticed her molten will faded. Nobody was taming as she continued to charge me.
I laid a frost trap, popped a potion of speed an an elixier of mighty speed - disengaged and tamed. Nobody was interrupting me... Was she really mine?
The gold light flashed and Death joined my side as a new partner, and I looked toward the orc that remained who /cheered me and clapped. I was in shock - this was the first time ever did the other faction has helped me with a tame. I was so grateful.
I logged off my main hunter, quickly created a horde and thanked the player with my deepest gratitude. XD We have now real-id one another to help watch for rares.
And in their words - Hunters stick together
So, major thanks and forever grateful Datar! You are my Orc Hero <3

The alert button doesn't pop up if you're in combat, but the sound and flash will trigger.
