BlizzCon 2010 Announced!

If you've been holding your breath waiting to find out when and where the next BlizzCon would be held, then... you've probably passed out by now. But if you've just been patiently watching for an announcement, then we've got good news for you: BlizzCon will be returning to the Anaheim Convention Center on Friday, October 22 through Saturday, October 23! Just as in years past, BlizzCon 2010 will feature an exciting mix of discussion panels, tournaments, hands-on gameplay, contests, and much more. Check out the announcement press release, and keep an eye on http://www.blizzcon.com in the months ahead for further details, including ticketing information.

I'll be sated with an online feed if they have one. Its just too much fuss and money for a weekend. I like easy... especially when you get an in-game pet as badass as Grunty.

Yeah, I'll do the online feed too if they decide to do it again. Since we've already allocated money for another trip and I got to attend the 2007 Con I won't feel disappointed in missing this one.

My mom said if the current air fares weren't so expensive and such... She'd let me go. =( I would love to go to BlizzCon since it looks like so much fun!

My boyfriend and I would really love to go to a BlizzCon one of these years, but I have a feeling it won't be anytime soon. Flying to California from Alberta would be quite expensive just for one weekend along with hotel costs and such.

Still, would be so much fun.

*nod* I'd really love to go, but we're blowing this year's vacation fun to go to my best friend's wedding. (She's having it on a Caribbean cruise, so it should be fun.)

I may still try to get tickets, though, on the basis that if I can get tickets then I'll find the money somewhere.

But I was pretty satisfied with the live feed last year, and I really hope they offer that again this year.

On a side note, I've been trying to figure out what the timing of BlizzCon might mean for the timing of the Cataclysm release. And the answer is: I have no idea, but I don't think it changes my guesses from before I knew about BlizzCon.

I think it should come to the UK...even if it was in London I wouldn't mind because I'm more likely to be able to get there then Cali (I live in the North East of england)

My only problem with the live feed....

I was watching it from work (I work odd hours) and every now and again the feed would drop during the panels... it was like, ZOMG NOES COME BACK! I missed a good 30 minutes there due to a "technical feed" issue. I'm sure next year they'll iron out a few more of those kinks. Even so, you can still find the footage on Youtube for most of the panels.

If it was just for the feed, I think I'd wait for the youtube vids after the conn. Getting the info first hand (sorta) does add to the fun. Murky, Murloc suit and Bliz Polar bear were pretty nice rewards for coming the years before, but Tyreal's Hilt was still probably the best reward they ever came out with for a conn. Sadly that conn was in Europe .

Does anyone else think they need a new comedian announcer for this next year? Jay Mohr looked like Blizzard kept him in a jar since the year before and released him on an unsuspecting audience.
